20 years of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu
The TV anime Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu is marking its 20th anniversary with a pair of anniversary chronographs featuring Suzumiya Haruhi and Nagato Yuki. Fulton Japan will begin accepting preorders on October 8, 2026 (Thursday) through its official online store.
The series began as a light novel published by Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko, written by Tanigawa Nagaru with illustrations by Ito Noizi. It is an SF-flavored school story narrated by Kyon, described in the source as Haruhi’s biggest victim, and centered on the unofficial school group SOS Brigade, led by the willful Suzumiya Haruhi. The story depicts a school life in which the supernatural becomes part of the everyday.
The 2006 TV anime became a social phenomenon, helped by its shuffled chronology and the internet popularity of the ending theme Hare Hare Yukai and its dance. In 2009, a second season added new episodes such as Sasa no Ha Rhapsody and Endless Eight and reorganized the story in chronological order. The film Suzumiya Haruhi no Shoushitsu followed in 2010, and spin-offs including Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Yuuutsu, Nyoro-n☆Churuya-san, and Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoushitsu have also been developed.
Two anniversary chronographs with scientific motifs
The anniversary chronograph line includes two models: Suzumiya Haruhi and Nagato Yuki. The design scatters scientific motifs such as equations and symbols reminiscent of physics and mathematics, as well as benzene rings. While it has the beauty of a stylish chronograph, it also expresses the non-everyday feeling unique to Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu in its details.
Dial details and SOS Brigade touches
At the 4 o’clock position, the dial features an original calendar function inspired by Endless Eight. It repeatedly displays the 17th through the 31st before showing an infinity symbol, a special specification that reflects one of the work’s memorable episodes. The 20th-anniversary milestone is also marked with two melee diamonds.
The second hand uses a design based on the SOS Brigade emblem. The subdial at the 9 o’clock position includes a map and an original hand shaped like an H. The H travels across the map, subtly expressing the world view of the SOS Brigade, the Suzumiya Haruhi brigade formed to greatly liven up the world.
Bands, case back, and packaging
Each watch comes with two interchangeable bands: a metal band that highlights the texture of the metal and a leather band with a chic look. Owners can enjoy it in two ways depending on their mood or style that day.
The case back carries the Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu 20th-anniversary logo. It is also engraved with an edition number proving the limited production run of 2,006 pieces and with a Japan movement marking.
The watch is delivered in a dedicated 20th-anniversary gold foil-stamped watch box finished with high-quality PU material and stamped with the anniversary logo. It also comes with a special design guarantee card and a watch stand that can be displayed for enjoyment.
Limited bonuses for each model
In addition to the standard accessories, each model includes a special limited item matched to its character. The Suzumiya Haruhi model includes an SOS Brigade leader armband-style ribbon band that can be attached to the watch box. The Nagato Yuki model includes a Stirling Inferno special bookmark created for the book-loving Nagato. These are must-see items for fans.
Each is a limited-production item of 2,006 pieces.
