Hangyodon Meets Hands for a 50th Anniversary Collaboration
Sanrio’s Hangyodon is teaming up with Hands for the retailer’s 50th anniversary in a special collaboration titled ‘HANDS x HANGYODON.’ The collection uses exclusive newly drawn visuals created for Hands and will launch at Hands stores and its online store on October 10, 2026.
The collaboration will run from October 10 to November 12. Its special visual shows Hangyodon, wearing a bow tie, and Itarou, in swirl glasses and a party hat, popping out of a green-and-white striped gift box in Hands colors. Hangyodon’s close friend Sayuri also appears on top of Hangyodon’s head.
Limited Plush, Bags, and Stationery
The exclusive lineup includes the ‘Hands x Hangyodon Plush Mascot’ (2,000 yen to 2,200 yen each) in five versions: Strawberry Cream, Cake, Sunglasses, Balloon, and Hands. Other items include the ‘Die-cut Pouch’ (1,600 yen), which gives Hangyodon’s face a three-dimensional look, and the anniversary-design ‘Eco Bag with Wide Gusset’ (1,800 yen).
Additional goods include the ‘Toorurun Acrylic Keyholder’ (800 yen each), ‘Trading Acrylic Keyholder Photo Style’ (600 yen each), ‘Hand Towel’ (1,000 yen each), ‘Clear File A5 3-Pocket’ (480 yen each), ‘Die-cut Clear File A4’ (680 yen each), ‘W Ring Notebook’ (680 yen each), and ‘Square Memo’ (480 yen each).
Playful items are also part of the collection, including the ‘Unidentified Flying Bookmark’ (550 yen each), which opens to let a light beam from a UFO illuminate the next line to read, and ‘Petit Seal’ (480 yen).
Purchase Bonus and Shinjuku Event
During the campaign, customers who purchase 2,000 yen or more including tax on eligible products will receive one limited original-design Hangyodon sticker, while supplies last.
At Hands Shinjuku Store, a photo event with Hangyodon will be held on October 17 by advance lottery. In-store broadcasts featuring Hangyodon solo songs and special messages will also run during the collaboration period.
