The first episode of the autumn anime Shuiro no Kamen is set to air on Saturday, October 10, 2026, and the production team has released the synopsis and advance scene cuts for Episode 1, The Mask Seller Pell.
Shuiro no Kamen is a mask-battle fantasy based on the manga by Naba Nabana and Dr.Poro, serialized in Shonen Gahosha’s Young King Ours. The anime is directed by Watanabe Tetsuaki, with animation production by 100studio.
The cast includes Kimura Taiki as Pell Darest, Yamamoto Yuyuki as Sonalue Meiwood, and Ura Kazuki as Mok Sharib. Hoshino Takanori plays Gouon, Komada Wataru is Totoku, Enoki Junya is Zent, Inoue Kazuhiko is Gaston, and Ootsuka Akio voices Bushin no Kamen. Nojima Kenji appears as Hien, Koga Aoi as Lasgarl, Shin Yuuki as Crown, Wakayama Akihisa as Linne, Endou Aya as Shiryou no Kamen, and Horie Yui as Master.
In the story, masks grant power to those who wear them, sometimes expanding possibility without limit and sometimes bringing unimaginable disaster. Pell, a disciple of the legendary mask maker Gaston Roux, is controlled by the Bushin no Kamen he happens to pick up, and unintentionally kills his comrades and his master. To prevent such tragedy from happening again, Pell resolves to destroy Gaston’s masks scattered around the world, and sets out on a journey while facing the crime he committed. Encounters with friends and confrontations with powerful enemies await as the boy continues walking until the day he can repay his master.
Episode 1: The Mask Seller Pell Synopsis
In the town, banners celebrating a masked ball and decorative balloons fill the streets, creating a lively scene. At the same time, the atmosphere among the people is somewhat dark. Amid this, Pell, a traveling mask seller, cheerfully opens a stall alone and draws in customers. There, he meets a girl named Sona.
Pell tells Sona, “I came to this country to destroy Gaston Roux’s masks.”
Gaston was one of the world’s three great mask makers, killed seven years ago in a certain incident along with his disciples.
Episode 1 of Shuiro no Kamen, The Mask Seller Pell, will air on Saturday, October 10 on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV’s nationwide network.
Broadcast and Streaming Information
Broadcast begins Saturday, October 10 at 5:30 PM on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV’s nationwide network (excluding some regions). The second cour will begin in April 2027.
