Relive the Battle: `Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-` Movie Revival & 11th LIVE Event Report
The highly anticipated `Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-` movie has been back in theaters for a revival screening since September 2nd. As part of this exciting return, the “Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- 11th LIVE≪Final D.R.B≫” event is being held, featuring rap battles based on the “First Stage” matchups from the movie.

`Fling Posse` vs `Matenrou` Ignites the Stage
On September 6th, 2025, the stage for the live viewing event was set ablaze! The screens in packed live viewing venues showed the live stage, where moving lights bathed the venue in each Division’s color. Making a grand entrance were Shirai Yuusuke as Amemura Ramuda, Saitou Souma as Yumeno Gentarou, and Nozuyama Yukihiro as Arisugawa Dice from “Fling Posse,” alongside Hayami Shou as Jinguji Jakurai, Kijima Ryuichi as Iizanami Hifumi, and Itou Kento as Kannonzaka Doppo from “Matenrou.” When Kijima-san’s playful kiss was perfectly captured on screen, the audience erupted in cheers and excitement.

Without giving the already exhilarated audience a moment to rest, the intro to “Hypnosis Mic -Division Battle Anthem- +” began to play. Driven by the cast’s passionate incitement, the venue’s energy reached its peak. The rap battle between “Fling Posse” and “Matenrou” fiercely opened the screening event, setting the stage for the final Division Rap Battle in which the audience would soon immerse themselves. Amidst thunderous cheers from both the live venue and the theaters, Shirai-san cheerfully greeted everyone with, “Hello to all of you, big brothers and sisters!”
He then expressed gratitude for the project’s journey, stating, “Everyone, thanks to all of you, big brothers and sisters, `Hypnosis Mic` was able to celebrate its 8th anniversary on September 2nd! This is all thanks to your continuous support!” The entire cast followed suit, each adding their thanks.
Reflecting on 8 Years of Rap and Reaching New Heights
As the cast members reminisced about the 11th D.R.B, commenting, “It feels like it went by so fast. We’ve had so many live performances,” and “It’s been 11 lives in 8 years, hasn’t it?”, Hayami-san interjected with a cryptic comment: “`Rimawari` is great, isn’t it?” When the others chimed in with “`Rimawari`? `Himawari`?” (a playful pun, `himawari` meaning sunflower), Hayami-san clarified, “Your smiles are like sunflowers,” bringing a unanimous nod of agreement from everyone.
When asked about his thoughts on the 8th anniversary, Nozuyama-san reflected on his journey, saying, “Eight years ago, I was 12 years old…” This led to playful remarks like “You were so small back then!” and “That prodigy Nozu has grown so much…” before Hayami-san deftly steered the conversation back on track with, “May we move on to the next topic?” He then announced the incredible achievement: “The movie has surpassed 2 billion yen in box office revenue! This is all thanks to you, everyone!” A torrent of applause rained down on the six performers from both the live venue and the theaters, with Shirai-san adding, “It’s all thanks to everyone visiting the theaters again and again.”

The Thrilling Climax and Onward to the Main Feature
Towards the end of the talk segment, Hayami-san concluded with a reminder, “The revival screening has just begun. Please watch it as many times as you like,” before the event moved to its final song. As the intro to “Stick To My Mic,” the 3rd Battle of the Final Division Rap Battle “First Stage” between “Fling Posse” VS “Matenrou,” began, screams of delight erupted from various parts of the theater, and the audience became entranced by the screen. Kijima-san and Itou-san, flowing together with arms around each other’s shoulders, were met with Saitou-san and Nozuyama-san returning the embrace, igniting a wave of cheers throughout the venue.
As the battle song, delivered with full energy and emotion, drew to a close, the audience, still burning with the passionate afterglow, dove into the main feature, where the fate of the Final Division Rap Battle rested in their hands.

A Groundbreaking Film and Upcoming Events
The `Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-` movie is a trailblazer, being the first interactive film in Japanese cinema history and also the first Japanese film to surpass 2 billion yen in box office revenue with fewer than 100 screening venues, marking two “Japan Firsts.”
