The Manga Origins and Its Journey
The anime is adapted from **Syundei**’s original manga, which captivated readers in *Opera* magazine from December 2014 to August 2016. The story continued with the sequel, *The Motto Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!*, also known as *Go for It Again, Nakamura!*, which started its serialization in the very same magazine in June 2017.
Akane Shinsha published the original manga and the first volume of its sequel in May 2017 and August 2021, respectively. Fans will be delighted to know that new editions of both were released just recently on August 16. For those outside Japan, Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed both manga for English release, bringing the original in 2017 and the sequel in 2021. The first English volume hit shelves in July 2018, followed by the second volume in July 2022.
