Hibike! Euphonium (also known as Sound! Euphonium) is an immensely popular anime series brought to life by Kyoto Animation, based on the original novels by Takeda Ayano. The story masterfully portrays the vibrant youth of high school students dedicated to their wind ensemble, with euphonium player Oumae Kumiko at its heart.
The journey began with the first TV anime season in April 2015, and since then, the series has blossomed to include three TV seasons, five theatrical films, special editions, and spin-off movies. As it celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2025, Hibike! Euphonium has captured the hearts of countless viewers. Its beautifully vivid animation, captivating musical scores, and the earnest dedication of the Kitauji Koukou Suisougakubu (Kitauji High School Wind Ensemble) as they strive for a national gold prize in competitions have left a profound impression and garnered widespread acclaim. Fans are already eagerly anticipating the next chapter, as the production of Saishuu Gakushou Hibike! Euphonium (Final Movement Hibike! Euphonium) has been announced, with the first part slated for release in Spring 2026.
The enchanting setting of Hibike! Euphonium is none other than the picturesque city of Uji in Kyoto. Throughout the series, viewers can spot numerous famous landmarks and events from Uji, alongside detailed depictions of trains and stations along the Keihan Electric Railway Uji Line. This latest “Keihan Electric Railway x Hibike! Euphonium 2025” collaboration aims to enhance the enjoyment of exploring the Uji Line and its surrounding areas, highlighting the region’s unique charm through a wide array of engaging activities.

During the event period, a special “Butai Tanbou MAP” (location pilgrimage map) showcasing the real-world Uji locations that inspired the anime will be distributed at major Keihan Electric Railway stations and various spots within Uji City. These maps are available only while supplies last, so be sure to grab one early! Additionally, a digital stamp rally will be held, allowing participants to collect photo frames featuring the characters based on the number of stamp points they visit within specified periods.

Furthermore, uniquely designed collaboration free tickets will be available for purchase on both the Keihan Line and the Otsu Line.

Don’t miss the chance to see the character life-size panels at Uji Station and Chushojima Station, and for the first time ever, special collaboration station name signs will be installed at Obaku Station – a truly novel sight for visitors!

Moreover, an array of collaboration-exclusive merchandise will be available for order. The popular “Miniature Life-size Panels” return, alongside new additions this year, including “Miniature Collaboration Station Name Signs” and a “BIG Tote Bag.” Commemorative head marks will adorn trains on the Keihan Line (Uji Line) and Otsu Line (Ishiyama-Sakamoto Line). The Otsu Line (Ishiyama-Sakamoto Line) will also feature special wrapping trains, and fans will even have the opportunity to participate in a photography session for these trains, so make sure to sign up!

The collaboration extends to facilities within the Keihan Group as well! Hotel Keihan Kyoto Grande will once again host its highly popular collaboration cafe. Here, you can savor unique dishes and drinks inspired by Oumae Kumiko and her companions, and receive exclusive novelty goods. The restaurant entrance will feature character panel displays and promotion videos, with iconic songs from the series playing as background music, creating an immersive space where you can experience the world of Hibike! Euphonium with all your senses.

At the Nidec Kyoto Tower observation deck, you’ll find photo spots, panel displays, and head mark exhibitions. Limited-edition merchandise and mini head marks featuring this year’s main visual will also be on sale. A special photo spot, featuring a newly drawn main visual, will allow you to take pictures as if you’re traveling with Oumae Kumiko and her friends, complete with authentic Keihan Electric Railway train seats and hand straps!
Continuing from the previous collaboration event, promotional videos will be broadcast, and background music from the series will fill the air. To top it all off, the Nidec Kyoto Tower itself will be illuminated in special colors inspired by the anime, adding to the festive atmosphere!

The Kyoto Tower Hotel Annex will feature its second collaboration room, following last year’s success. This room will bring to life a newly drawn illustration theme of “everyday life.” Inside, you’ll find decorations reminiscent of the Keihan Electric Railway, including replica train hand straps and window frames, just like last time. With Blu-ray discs and a player featuring all the Hibike! Euphonium TV and theatrical releases available, guests can fully immerse themselves in the world of the series during their stay.
