Exciting news for fans eagerly awaiting the Autumn anime season! Ahead of its broadcast premiere on October 5th, 2025, the first pre-broadcast scene cuts have been unveiled for Episode 1 (1st Live) “City of Mirage” of the highly anticipated series, SI-VIS: The Sound of Heroes.

About SI-VIS: The Sound of Heroes

SI-VIS: The Sound of Heroes is an original TV anime brought to life through the collaborative efforts of ANIPLEX and Sony Music. This gripping story introduces us to “SI-VIS,” a mixed-gender artist unit formed around their charismatic leader, YOSUKE. Their mission? To save the world with the power of music, embodying the ultimate artist-heroes.
While they captivate audiences both domestically and internationally with their unparalleled vocal prowess and dynamic performances, SI-VIS harbors a profound secret: they are actually heroes combating a mysterious cataclysm known as “Mirage,” a disaster threatening to annihilate the world. Through their electrifying live performances, SI-VIS ignites the passions of the crowd, gathering that collective energy to fuel their battles. However, to the public, these heroic acts appear merely as extraordinary concerts, and thus, their true identity as saviors remains unknown.
Production Team & Stellar Cast
The series boasts a formidable lineup of talented staff. Guiding the project as director is Yoshida Daisuke. The intricate series composition and script are handled by Maruto Fumiaki, renowned for his work on hit series like Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata (How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend) and WHITE ALBUM 2. The original character designs are crafted by the popular illustrator Hidari, known for their contributions to titles such as Kouya no Kotobuki Hikoutai (The Magnificent Kotobuki) and Fire Emblem Echoes: Mou Hitori no Eiyuu Ou (also known as Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia). Animation production is expertly managed by Studio Voln.
The cast features an assembly of beloved voice actors bringing these heroes to life:
| Character | Voice Actor |
|---|---|
| YOSUKE | Namikawa Daisuke |
| Seiren | Sakura Ayane |
| Myuu (μ) | Kitou Akari |
| Souji | Shimazaki Nobunaga |
| JUNE | Saitou Souma |
Adding another layer of authenticity, the in-story songs are performed by the very mixed-gender unit “SI-VIS,” composed of Sony Music’s hand-picked vocalists.
Music & Themes
It has been confirmed that SI-VIS: The Sound of Heroes will air for two consecutive cours. The first cour’s opening theme, “So Far Away,” and ending theme, “FRIENDS & SMILE,” will both be performed by the in-story unit SI-VIS. Both tracks were penned and composed by rock singer Nakajima Takui. Furthermore, it was revealed that YOSUKE, the leader of SI-VIS, will feature vocals by Taisho, the former vocalist and guitarist of the four-member band PUSH REG LEADs.

Comments from the Creators
Nakajima Takui
For the opening number, “So Far Away,” I first envisioned a dramatic unfolding in the chorus, driven by an uptempo sense of speed, then wrote the lyrics in one go, aligning them with the script’s theme.
As for the ending number, “FRIENDS & SMILE,” I crafted it with lyrics that evoke a gentle feeling after watching the anime, aiming for an image where friendship feels truly wonderful. Though these two songs leave entirely different impressions, I believe I managed to create both as perfect gateways, serving as the entrance and exit to the story, each leading to a gate of the future.

Taisho
Regarding the recording session:
I flew in from Sapporo, clutching a mix of confidence, hope, and anxiety. It was my first time recording songs outside of my own band, and I remember the temporary vocal recording didn’t go as well as I’d hoped. However, the engineer told me, “You can put more of yourself into it, more of the ‘Taisho-ness’,” and from the actual recording session onward, I gradually got a feel for it. I feel like I successfully imbued YOSUKE with a part of myself.
Impressions after watching the series:
While I’m not typically someone who watches a lot of anime habitually, I ended up watching the entire series through. The combat scenes involving “SI-VIS” are incredibly exhilarating and right up my alley. Oh, and I’m a Seiren fan!
