Affectionately known as SuteTsuyo, Ansatsusha de aru Ore no Status ga Yuusha yori mo Akiraka ni Tsuyoi Nodaga is an isekai fantasy that has captivated readers, boasting over 1.6 million copies in circulation as of August 2025. This compelling story, originally penned by Akai Matsuri, is now brought to life on screen.

The TV anime adaptation is helmed by director Habara Nobuyoshi, with animation production handled by the legendary Sunrise studio. The stellar cast includes Ootsuka Takeo as Oda Akira and Mizuno Saku as Amelia Rosequartz. They are joined by Kobayashi Sanae as Yoru, Tamura Kokoro as Lia Lagoon, Suwabe Junichi as Saran Misrey, and the newly announced Morinaga Ayato as Satou Tsukasa, and Mizunaka Masaaki as Asahina Kyousuke.

A Hero’s Journey, or an Assassin’s?

The story follows high school student Oda Akira, who, along with his entire class, is unexpectedly summoned to another world. While his classmates are granted powerful cheat abilities, Akira, due to his naturally inconspicuous presence, receives the seemingly ordinary “Assassin” ability. However, there’s a catch: Akira’s status values as a mere “Assassin” far surpass even those of the “Hero,” the strongest class!

After being falsely accused and fleeing into the depths of a labyrinth, Akira encounters the beautiful elf girl Amelia. Thus begins the tale of a boy who, armed with the “Assassin” ability, meets an elf girl and embarks on a journey to become a true “Assassin.”

Akira’s peaceful everyday life is abruptly snatched away when he and his classmates are summoned to a parallel world. The king of this new realm utters the familiar plea: “Please defeat the Demon King and save our country!” As Akira discovers his profession is “Assassin,” he starts to question the unusually high status values he possesses—numbers that even eclipse those of a “Hero.”

Feeling a deep distrust towards the king and his court, Akira decides to act independently. While gathering information, he makes the acquaintance of the Knight Commander, Saran Misrey. But it’s in the underground labyrinth, where he ventured with his classmates, that Akira finds himself teetering on the brink of life and death…

New Cast Members Join the Adventure!

The adventure expands with two new, exciting additions to the cast! Morinaga Ayato will lend his voice to Satou Tsukasa, a high school student summoned to the parallel world alongside Akira and his classmates, who takes on the role of the “Hero.” Joining him is Mizunaka Masaaki as Asahina Kyousuke, one of Akira’s few friends, who accompanies Tsukasa as a “Samurai” on the quest to defeat the Demon King. Both Morinaga-san and Mizunaka-san have shared their thoughts on joining the production.

The first episode of the autumn anime, Ansatsusha de aru Ore no Status ga Yuusha yori mo Akiraka ni Tsuyoi Nodaga, “Ansatsusha wa Pan wo Kuu,” will air from 1:30 AM JST on October 6 (effectively, the early morning of October 7) on TV Tokyo, BS Fuji, Animax, and other channels. Following its broadcast on TV Tokyo, the episode will be exclusively available for streaming on d Anime Store and ABEMA, so make sure to tune in!

Morinaga Ayato-san

Hello everyone, this is Morinaga Ayato, and I’ll be portraying Satou Tsukasa! Tsukasa is depicted as a perfect student—handsome, brilliant academically, and exceptional in sports, holding the title of student council president. However, beneath that flawless exterior, he still possesses the immaturity of someone his age.

I’m incredibly excited to see how he grows as a “Hero” in this other world, alongside his companions! And of course, how his relationship with our protagonist, Akira, will develop! Please look forward to the unfolding story!

Mizunaka Masaaki-san

This is Mizunaka Masaaki, the voice of Asahina Kyousuke. SuteTsuyo is a series packed with shocking events right from the start, making me genuinely excited to see what actions Oda Akira will take and how he’ll overcome challenges! The battle sequences are also truly fantastic.

Kyousuke is one of Akira’s friends and one of his few understanding companions. Despite his cool demeanor, he has a deep care for his companions, and I hope you look forward to seeing how he gets involved in the story!
