Based on the light novel series by Hoshi Kanata, published under Kodansha’s “K-Ranobe Books f” imprint, and with a manga adaptation by Mizube Chika serialized on “ARTEMIS by sirius,” Akushoku Reijou to Kyouketsu Kouishaku ~Sono Mamono, Watashi ga Oishiku Itadakimasu!~ (which can be translated as “The Gluttonous Lady and the Bloodthirsty Duke ~I’ll Deliciously Devour That Monster!~”) is a unique and heartwarming “gourmet fantasy with a twist.” This exciting series is brought to life by director Takeda Mutsumi, with animation handled by Asahi Production. The stellar cast includes Nakamura Kanna as Melphiera Marshallraid, Saka TaiTto as Aristide Roger de Galbraith, alongside Kondou Takashi, Okamoto Nobuhiko, Kimura Ryohei, Furukawa Makoto, Hirakawa Daisuke, and Masuda Toshiki.
The Story So Far
The story follows Melphiera, the daughter of a count, who harbors a peculiar and misunderstood hobby: she loves to deliciously consume monsters that pose a threat to humans. This unusual penchant has earned her the nickname, “The Gluttonous Lady.” One fateful day, while attending a party to find a fiancé, she encounters a frenzied magical beast. Just as she freezes in terror, the “Bloodthirsty Duke,” Aristide Roger de Galbraith, renowned for his terrifying power, makes his grand appearance. With a swift swing of his sword, the beast falls, his golden eyes gleaming. Melphiera is left breathless by his overwhelming strength and beauty, but her attention is soon drawn to the beast’s blood dripping from the Duke’s face… and that’s where our thrilling adventure begins!
Episode 2: “Kyuukon wa Sora kara Omiyage wo Motte” (A Marriage Proposal Arrives from the Sky with a Souvenir)
After a momentous encounter, Melphiera reluctantly bids farewell to Aristide, her savior who surprisingly showed interest in her unique hobby of eating monsters. She returns to her mansion, only to find her father, Ghislain, looking utterly distraught.
It turns out that a marriage proposal has swiftly arrived from the Galbraith ducal family! What’s more, Aristide himself is scheduled to visit the very next day!? Get ready for some unexpected developments as Melphiera navigates this sudden turn of events!
