The official synopsis and exciting scene cuts for the second episode of the fall anime `DIGIMON BEATBREAK` (known in Japanese as `デジモンビートブレイク`), titled “Growing Dawn,” have been unveiled. Adding to the excitement, it has also been revealed that Nakai Kazuya will be lending his voice to the character Tenma Asuka, the older brother of our protagonist, Tenma Tomorou.

`DIGIMON BEATBREAK` marks the newest television anime in the beloved `Digimon` series, arriving approximately two years after its predecessor, `Digimon Ghost Game`. The story transports us to a fascinating world where “e-pulse”—energies born from human thoughts and emotions—are harnessed as a vital power source for advanced AI support devices known as “Sapotama.” While this innovation fuels remarkable technological advancements, it also casts a shadow: fearsome creatures called “Digimon” emerge, consuming e-pulse and evolving into formidable monsters.
Our young protagonist, Tenma Tomorou, finds his ordinary life irrevocably changed after a fateful encounter with Gekkomon, a Digimon born from a Sapotama device. This chance meeting plunges him headfirst into an extraordinary world. As he begins to live alongside Sawashiro Kyou and the “Growing Dawn” team, a group of dedicated bounty hunters, Tomorou’s resolve is tested and strengthened. What kind of new future awaits as humans and Digimon navigate this evolving world together?
Series Director Miyamoto Hiroaki leads the project, with animation production handled by the esteemed Toei Animation, continuing their legacy with the `Digimon` franchise. The main cast features Irino Miyu as Tenma Tomorou and Han Megumi as Gekkomon. They are joined by a stellar voice ensemble including Kurosawa Tomoyo as Sakuya Reena, Tamura Mutsumi as Pristimon, Sekine Arisa as Kuonji Makoto, Kuno Misaki as Kiropumon, Azagami Youhei as Sawashiro Kyou, and Hamano Daiki as Murasamemon.
Synopsis of Episode 2: “Growing Dawn”
Fueled by Tomorou’s intense anger, Gekkomon awakens and powerfully overwhelms their enemy.
But just as victory seems within reach, a mysterious Digimon suddenly appears, swiftly snatching away the Sapotama.
Having lost his older brother and subsequently closed off his heart, Tomorou finds himself deeply shaken by a single, impactful remark from Sawashiro Kyou, the charismatic leader of the “Growing Dawn” cleaner team.
The second episode of the fall anime `DIGIMON BEATBREAK`, “Growing Dawn,” will air from 9:00 AM on Sunday, October 12, on Fuji TV and other channels. Immediately following the terrestrial broadcast, catch-up streaming will be available every Sunday from 9:30 AM on TVer and FOD.
