One Press of the Shutter, and Goodbye to You.
The protagonist of this evocative tale is Yuujin, a 40-year-old divorced man who once worked as a photojournalist and ran a cafe. A car accident during his trip home unexpectedly transports him to the mysterious and strangely familiar land of “Bou no Chi,” a world on the brink of collapse.
In “Bou no Chi,” Yuujin encounters a enigmatic young girl, voiced by Ichinose Kana, who has lost her memories. Driven by her wish to return to her home atop a distant mountain, Yuujin reluctantly picks up a camera he had long abandoned. Together, they embark on a journey to unravel the world’s mysteries through his viewfinder and discover a path back home.

Comments from the Artists
Hello everyone, this is Martin Johnson! Please listen to the insert song for the latest game in the OPUS series. It’s a wonderful song, and it was a fantastic experience to be a part of this project and sing on it! Enjoy the game!
It is a great honor to be able to participate in such a wonderful work.
When writing the lyrics, I had to deeply consider the meaning of how the protagonist arrived here and why this journey is necessary? Through that process, I was deeply impressed by how much this entire production values the philosophical aspects of the story. I believe that after many discussions with Josiah, we created truly meaningful lyrics.
I hope to connect with everyone who plays this game through music.
I really enjoyed working with the passionate production team!
I want everyone who plays this game to realize that their own story matters. We are all on a journey, and each journey is unique. Everyone experiences pain and hardship in this life. The most important thing is to find who you are. And no matter what happens, to keep striving to make yourself and this world better.
To celebrate its participation in “Steam Next Fest,” an X (formerly Twitter) repost campaign is also being held until 2:00 AM JST on Tuesday, October 21st. To enter, simply follow Shueisha Games’ official account and repost the designated campaign post.
OPUS: Prism Peak is slated for release in Fall 2025 on Steam (Windows/Mac), Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch.
