About the Production: A Tale of Growing Acclaim
This heartwarming work is an original creation by Suehara Takuma, the mastermind behind the theater troupe Obonro. It first premiered as an Obonro main stage performance in 2021, followed by a successful rerun in August 2022. The narrative also found its way into print with a book published by Kodansha, before being reimagined and expanded as a reading play in 2023. Both the initial run and the rerun sold out instantly, a testament to its captivating charm. With each performance, the audience’s emotional response grew, leading to this year’s staging at Hulic Hall Tokyo, the largest venue yet for this beloved production.
An All-Star Voice Cast Takes the Stage
Fans will be thrilled to see Satou Takuya, Nishiyama Koutarou, and Shimono Hiro reprise their roles from previous performances. Eligible for Invitation:
Children aged elementary school to 18 years old at the time of attendance (born on or after April 2nd, 2007).
- Applications are on a first-come, first-served basis. Acceptance will close once the planned number of tickets is reached.
- Preschool children are not permitted to enter.
- Up to 4 tickets can be applied for per application.
- Elementary school students must be accompanied by a guardian (19 years or older).
- For each application, only one accompanying guardian (19 years or older) is eligible for a half-price ticket (¥4,900).

Accompanying guardians will also be asked to present identification verifying their name (e.g., driver’s license, health insurance card). If the necessary identification cannot be provided by either party, the difference from the full price will be charged on the day of the performance (acceptable IDs include student ID, health insurance card, My Number Card, passport).
