YOASOBI to Perform Opening and Ending Themes for TV Anime Hanazakari no Kimitachi e! Anime PV Reveals Song Snippets!
Exciting news has just dropped regarding the theme songs for the highly anticipated TV anime Hanazakari no Kimitachi e, which is slated to begin its broadcast in January 2026.
The immensely popular music unit YOASOBI has been announced to be in charge of both the opening and ending theme songs for the series! The titles for these captivating tracks have been confirmed as “Adorena” for the opening theme and “BABY” for the ending theme.
During the special stage event for the TV anime Hanazakari no Kimitachi e at AGF on November 8th, five talented voice actors portraying the main characters graced the stage. They delighted fans by revealing that the anime will kick off its sequential broadcast starting January 4, 2026. What’s more, an anime promotional video (PV) was unveiled, giving everyone a sneak peek at snippets of YOASOBI’s freshly penned opening theme “Adorena” and ending theme “BABY.”

Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (which can be translated as “For You in Full Blossom”) is a beloved shojo manga series that spanned 23 volumes, serialized in “Hana to Yume” (Hakusensha) from 1996 to 2004. This iconic series has sold over 17 million copies cumulatively. The engaging school story follows Ashiya Mizuki, who, driven by her admiration for Sano Izumi, disguises herself as a boy to transfer into an all-boys’ school. This charming tale has seen numerous live-action drama adaptations, not just in Japan but also across various Asian countries, and continues to boast enduring popularity even two decades after its serialization concluded.
YOASOBI, a unique music unit known for their concept of “turning novels into music,” made their grand debut in November 2019. Their debut track, “Yoru ni Kakeru,” instantly soared to fame upon its release, dominating domestic streaming charts and hitting the number one spot. To date, it has achieved an unprecedented cumulative streaming playback count, surpassing an astounding 1.2 billion plays.
In April 2023, their song “Idol,” which served as the opening theme for the TV anime Oshi no Ko, accomplished a remarkable feat. It seized the top spot on Billboard JAPAN’s comprehensive song chart, “JAPAN Hot 100,” for an astonishing 21 consecutive weeks, thereby shattering Billboard JAPAN’s all-time record for consecutive number-one hits. Not stopping there, “Idol” also claimed the pinnacle position on the U.S. Billboard Global Chart “Global Excl. U.S.,” Apple Music’s “Top 100: Global,” and YouTube Music Charts TOP 100 Songs Global, continually setting groundbreaking, first-ever records in the vibrant history of J-Pop.
