sutoPuri’s First “Utaitemita” Live Concert Captivates 50,000 Fans: “Seeing Everyone’s Smiles and Hearing Their Voices at a Live Show is the Best!” [Final Performance Report]

The 2.5D idol group sutoPuri hosted their inaugural “utaitemita” (cover song) live concert, titled “sutoPuri Utaitemita Live ~Sorosoro Utaitemita mo Kikitakunai!?~”, at K Arena Yokohama in Kanagawa on November 15th and 16th, 2025. This incredible event, which drew an estimated 50,000 attendees across three performances over two days, featured a setlist composed almost entirely of “utaitemita” tracks that the members had previously shared on video platforms. This special live concert also served as a journey through sutoPuri’s remarkable career. This article provides a detailed report on the final performance.

A Royal Welcome and Dynamic Performances

The concert kicked off with an exciting opening movie, a nostalgic journey through nearly ten years of their “utaitemita” posts. As the video concluded with elegant shots following the four members’ footsteps, the upper stage was bathed in light. Slowly, Gel-kun, Riinu-kun, Colon-kun, and Root-kun appeared, ascending a grand staircase from the back, with Riinu-kun’s hair tips distinctively dyed purple and pink.

Donning pristine white prince-like costumes, the four members delivered the first song, “Dance Robot Dance,” with infectious energy, featuring adorable choreography and dazzling smiles. Gel-kun and Colon-kun, along with Riinu-kun and Root-kun, then split into two pairs, moving to opposite sides of the stage. They promptly boarded separate trolleys, making their way into the arena seating aisles. This sudden fan service ignited a huge roar of excitement and delight from the listeners (fans).

In the following song, “Romeo,” their gestures of reaching out to the audience, as if making a heartfelt proposal, were undeniably princely. The four members’ embracing and beautiful singing voices captivated everyone present, truly feeling like a “gentle magic” enchanting all who heard it. After an MC segment that, as usual, playfully devolved into humorous banter akin to a comedy skit, Gel-kun enthusiastically led into “KING” with a provocative question: “Being a prince is nice, but don’t you want to become a king… a KING!?” With powerful fireballs erupting dramatically, the four confidently sang on a stage bathed in intense red lights, exuding an overwhelming aura of a final boss, dominating the arena with their presence.

In a striking contrast, during “Romeo and Cinderella,” a song marked by its beautiful melody and poignant sadness, Gel-kun and Colon-kun faced each other closely as they sang, while Root-kun and Riinu-kun sang intimately side-by-side. These diverse “utaitemita” performances, each painted with different emotions and colors, brilliantly showcased sutoPuri’s rich and versatile expressive power.

Listeners erupted in enthusiastic cheers during “Goodbye Sengen,” captivated by Root-kun’s playful “at the mercy of girls” persona. During “AikoTOBA IV,” Gel-kun took a moment in the middle of the song to convey his profound love for the listeners with his own heartfelt words, exclaiming, “I can keep going because you’re here. Thank you so much!” In “Kokoronashi,” Colon-kun resonated with an incredibly emotional and soul-stirring singing voice, while Riinu-kun sang “Chiisana Koi no Uta” with profound sincerity, expressing, “Please continue to support sutoPuri from now on.” These solo “utaitemita” performances, where each member’s unique individuality and deepest feelings converged, were deeply moving and left a lasting impression on the audience.

Exciting Unit Collaborations

Following the solo acts, various member units made their successive and highly anticipated appearances. In Colon-kun’s unit “BNK,” Akkii-kun, Mazeta-kun, and Purittsu-kun from AMPTAKxCOLORS joined the stage. During “Suisei Honeymoon,” Colon-kun and Akkii-kun, and Purittsu-kun and Mazeta-kun, sang with their arms around each other’s shoulders, while listeners enthusiastically joined in calls at Colon-kun’s “Se-no!” (Ready, set, go!) prompt, creating a vibrant and interactive atmosphere.

For “Ikenai Taiyou,” they performed a cheerful, summer-themed dance, filling the venue with bright energy. Colon-kun and Purittsu-kun, along with Akkii-kun and Mazeta-kun, sang closely together, creating a sense of camaraderie. A particularly heartwarming moment saw Colon-kun and Mazeta-kun, who began his activities inspired by Colon-kun, pressing their foreheads together as they sang. It was clear these four, who regularly stream together as close companions, had perfectly synchronized chemistry, making their performance truly seamless and enjoyable.

During Riinu-kun’s turn, first Baau-kun from Kishi X – Knight X – and Chigusakun-kun from AMPTAKxCOLORS appeared, igniting the stage with their presence. Whether it was “Sign wa B,” which began with Baau-kun’s charming “chu” sound that thrilled the listeners, or “Fan-sa,” where the trusting bond between Riinu-kun, Baau-kun, and Chigusakun-kun was beautifully evident in their touches and interactions, the three shone brilliantly as utterly perfect idols, giving their all with dazzling intensity.

Furthermore, Purittsu-kun from AMPTAKxCOLORS, along with Lapis-kun and AkiraraiTO-san from Meteora – Meteorites -, joined to form the unit “Bakamaji,” lining up on stage to great anticipation. They performed “StaRt,” a dynamic and energetic piece. These six, who seemed to be having an absolute blast even when playfully passing each other on stage, were utterly outrageous and incredibly serious in their performance, bringing a joyous and vibrant energy to their talk segments. When Riinu-kun playfully suggested, “Since we’re here, let’s do something only we can do!”, they immediately struck hilarious and creative poses. And when asked to show their “serious side,” they effortlessly delivered killer lines with charmingly cool voices, showcasing their versatile talents.

When Akkii-kun appeared on stage, accompanied by the Tooi-san Family impersonated by “REAL AKIBA JUNIORZ,” Gel-kun sprang a surprise: a sudden “Find Gel-kun” game was initiated! After being discovered hiding in the arena audience through the cooperative efforts of Akkii-kun and the listeners, Gel-kun finally made his way to the stage to sing “Meccha Tooi!” (So Far!), the lively theme song from the theatrical film, *Tooi-san wa Seishun Shitai! “Baka to Sumaho to Romansu to”* (Ms. Tooi Wants to Enjoy Her Youth! “Idiots, Smartphones, and Romance”), a film which he himself produced and directed.

While Gel-kun typically plays both Gel-kun and Tooi-san in his videos and movies, for this live performance, he appointed Akkii-kun to play the role of Tooi-san. Akkii-kun, completely transforming into Tooi-san with an orange vest and a distinctive blue ribbon in his hair, delighted the audience by exclaiming, “Gel-san, this is fun!” His impressive adaptability was astonishing, as was Gel-kun’s undeniable talent for producing and his exceptional showmanship as an entertainer.

Root-kun’s unit members were Teruto-kun from Kishi X – Knight X – and Melto da Tenshi-kun from Meteora – Meteorites -. During “Kawaii dake ja Dame desu ka?” (Is Being Cute Not Enough?), the three, sporting charming cat-ear hairstyles, huddled together and performed adorable cat-paw poses, pushing the boundaries of cuteness to the absolute max. Then, in a stark contrast, during “Monitoring,” they bewitched the audience with yandere-like expressions and an alluring, subtle charm that captivated everyone.

Root-kun playfully introduced them as “The Three Black-hearted Brothers!” but the way Root-kun and Teruto-kun constantly doted on and cared for Melto da Tenshi-kun was incredibly heartwarming, much like two older brothers affectionately looking after their youngest sibling – a truly endearing sight. The trio concluded their performance by capturing the listeners’ hearts with individual “I love you”s, exuding an ultimate blend of calculated cuteness and mischievous, almost devilish, allure.

A Moving Finale: Reflecting on sutoPuri’s Journey

The pair performances also carried a special appeal with their unexpected yet delightful combinations. This included “Ojamashimushi” (Busybody), where Gel-kun’s deep voice and Riinu-kun’s high notes beautifully complemented each other, and “Inokori Sensei” (Stay-Behind Teacher), sung by Colon-kun and Root-kun, acting as “class representatives,” while basking in the listeners’ enthusiastic calls. Then, the four members, clad in sleek black costumes, reunited on stage, delivering “AsunoyoZORA Shoukaiban” (Patrol of the Night Sky) with such breathtakingly beautiful, intertwined voices that it left the audience utterly captivated and breathless.

Following the adorably mischievous “Ochame Kinou” (Playful Function) with its cheerful butt-wiggling dance, the members singing of hope with their arms around each other in “Kami no Manimani” (At God’s Mercy) powerfully reaffirmed that they truly are “a light that shines on everyone.” The rich history of sutoPuri, having walked hand-in-hand with “utaitemita” culture, and the unchanging love and profound respect the members continue to hold for “utaitemita,” even as their catalog of original songs steadily grows, is deeply moving and resonates with the hearts of their fans.

Heartfelt Cheers and a Grand Encore

The exhilarating encore kicked off with “Senbonzakura” (A Thousand Cherry Blossoms), a performance elevated by spectacular stage effects including dramatic fireballs, powerful jet smoke, and dazzling lasers. Gel-kun, brimming with energy, exclaimed, “I had so much fun tonight, it made me wonder if live concerts were always this enjoyable!? Connecting online is wonderful, but seeing everyone’s radiant smiles and hearing your voices at a live concert is truly the absolute best!” Colon-kun added, “This utaitemita-only live was really refreshing and unique. Our history truly began with utaitemita, so I sincerely hope that everyone enjoyed this concert.”

Riinu-kun chimed in with enthusiasm, “Your smiles were incredibly cute! Utaitemita has been such a huge and unwavering source of support for us. I’m so happy we could have this utaitemita live before our 10th anniversary next year.” Root-kun then addressed the crowd, calling out, “I had so much fun performing this utaitemita live too. Thanks to all of you, I truly believe this concert also paved the way for what’s next for us!”

As they approach their 10th anniversary in 2016, the four members each expressed their profound joy, deep emotion, and heartfelt gratitude to their listeners for making the “utaitemita” live possible. Welcoming the talented guest performers from the unit corners back to the stage, the final song, powerfully led by Gel-kun’s enthusiastic call, was the heartwarming “Blessing.”

The stage was filled with touching moments as Root-kun and Teruto-kun snuggled close, Colon-kun and Mazeta-kun huddled together, Riinu-kun and Purittsu-kun leaned into each other, Gel-kun and Akkii-kun exchanged warm smiles, and Chigusakun-kun even gave Riinu-kun a princess carry, much to the delight of the crowd. Including the enthusiastic listeners, it was a truly celebratory event that beautifully conveyed the warmth of the connections and unbreakable bonds fostered through the enduring spirit of “utaitemita.”
