On November 13, 2025, Warner Bros. Animation (WBA) and WEBTOON Entertainment Inc. announced a strategic partnership to develop popular webtoon titles into animated series.
Through this collaboration, both companies will jointly develop and distribute 10 popular works from the WEBTOON platform to the global market. Among the initial titles slated for development are The Stellar Swordmaster (known in Japan as Seiken no Soodo Masutaa) and Hardcore Leveling Warrior (also recognized as Mooretsu Senshi), making up a total of four projects.

WBA stands as one of the leading animation studios in the United States, celebrated for its work on animated DC Comics adaptations, the iconic Looney Tunes series, and more recently, even major projects like director Kamiyama Kenji’s The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim.
On the other side, WEBTOON Entertainment is a company dedicated to expanding vertical-scrolling manga, or webtoons, across the globe. Their platform, WEBTOON, boasts approximately 155 million monthly active users worldwide, and their reach extends to the web novel platform Wattpad, as well as Japan’s LINE Manga and ebookjapan. This dynamic partnership promises to bring a fresh wave of captivating stories to anime fans everywhere, leveraging the strengths of both a prolific animation studio and a global digital comics innovator.
