Anime!Anime! is excited to launch its annual reader survey titled “Who is Your Favorite Older Sister Character?”. The deadline is November 26th.
December 6th marks “Older Sister’s Day” (Ane no Hi) in Japan.
This special day commemorates the death anniversary of Saint Nicholas of Myra, widely recognized as the inspiration behind Santa Claus. It honors the legend of Saint Nicholas, who famously rescued three impoverished sisters from hardship.
In the vibrant worlds of anime and games, characters portraying older sisters are a familiar and beloved presence. Their depictions are incredibly diverse: some are diligent and nurturing, tirelessly looking after their younger siblings; others might be older but wonderfully free-spirited, making them impossible to ignore; and many are simply adored by those around them for their incredibly caring nature. Truly, the image of an “older sister” is rich with variety!

Following our cherished annual tradition, Anime!Anime! is excited to launch our reader survey titled “Who is Your Favorite Older Sister Character?”. This is an open-ended survey, so please tell us your favorite character and the title of the work they appear in!
※Eligible characters for this survey include those from two-dimensional content such as anime (TV broadcasts, films, streaming, OVAs, etc.), games, CD series, and manga.
※Please limit your response to one per person.
Basic information such as gender and age are optional, and you are welcome to participate without providing them. Everyone is encouraged to join in!
The deadline for submissions is November 26th. We will announce the survey results as soon as they are compiled. Please look forward to it!
