The film `Kitarou Tanjou GeGeGe no Nazo` is a monumental work commemorating the 100th anniversary of manga artist Mizuki Shigeru’s birth. This inspiration is evident in the “GeGeGe Ukiyoe Michizure no Saku,” which features a subtle yet powerful composition: Kitarou’s father and Mizuki, though facing away, share a drink in the shadows cast by the shoji screens. This artful depiction hints at their profound bond as companions. The entire piece is unified with a sepia tone, consciously evoking the post-war Showa 31 (1956) setting, creating a unique and immersive world.
