Takopii no Genzai Anime Reveals More Staff, Theme Songs, and First Trailer Ahead of June 2025 Debut

Get ready for the anime adaptation of Taizan 5’s impactful manga, Takopii no Genzai! The official website recently dropped a bunch of fresh details, including additional staff members joining the production team, exciting news about the theme songs, a new key visual, and the very first promotional video. This upcoming series is planned for 6 episodes and is set to premiere on streaming services starting June 28, 2025.

Bringing Takopii to Life: The Main Production Team

We already knew about some of the key players behind Takopii no Genzai. Shinya Iino, known for directing series like *Dr. Stone*, is taking on the roles of both director and series composer for this adaptation. Handling the character designs is Keita Nagahara, who previously served as an assistant director on *Assault Lily: Bouquet*. Animation production is being handled by the studio Enishiya, which is also listed for production cooperation on the project. Planning and production are credited to TBS Television.

The Soundtrack: Opening and Ending Themes

Music fans can look forward to some great tunes accompanying the series. Singer-songwriter ano, who has performed for projects like the 2024 *Ranma ½* and *Chainsaw Man*, is performing the opening theme titled “Happy Lucky Chappy.” The ending theme, “Glass no Sen,” will be performed by Tele. Both of these songs were previewed in the recently released promotional video.

About the Original Manga

The anime is based on the popular manga Takopii no Genzai by Taizan 5. The manga was serialized on the Shounen Jump+ web magazine from December 2021 to March 2022. Shueisha published the completed series in two volumes in April 2022. For readers outside of Japan, VIZ Media licensed the manga for English release in February 2023 and released it as a 2-in-1 omnibus volume in November of the same year.
