Dandadan Anime Season 2 2nd PV Released! OP “Kakumei Doochuu” Sung by Aina the End, Packed with New Scenes

From the anime Dandadan, the second promotional video for the second season has been released. Additionally, it was announced that the opening theme will be “Kakumei Douchuu” sung by Aina The End, and that episodes will begin streaming on various platforms after the TV broadcast.

Dandadan is an anime adaptation based on the popular manga by Ryuu Yukinobu, currently serialized in “Shounen Jump+” (Shueisha). It tells an occult battle and coming-of-age story about Momo (Ayase Momo), a high school girl from a family of mediums, and her classmate Okarun (Takakura Ken), who is an occult fanatic, as they battle various strange and supernatural phenomena.

Its unique battle fantasy theme centered around the occult has become a hot topic, with cumulative circulation exceeding 10 million copies. The main cast for the anime includes a lineup of popular voice actors such as Wakayama Shion (as Momo), Hanae Natsuki (as Okarun), and Mizuki Nana (as Hoshiko). The second season is set to begin airing on July 3, 2025.

The second promotional video starts with a mysterious Brief Man emitting an ominous bloodlust and voicing his grudges. It then shows Jiji sympathizing with Jyashi, Turbo Babaa admonishing him, Momo being punched by the Brief Man, and Okarun engaging in an intense battle with the Brief Man.

Besides the Brief Man, the video also includes scenes of a Kaii resembling a musician and Momo in a maid outfit. With cuts that appear to be from new episodes, it’s a video that heightens anticipation for future developments.

Furthermore, in the latter half of the video, you can hear the opening theme, “Kakumei Douchuu,” sung by Aina The End. Regarding the song, Aina The End commented, “I poured into the music the scene of battling and running through to protect something important while holding a sentimental love. It’s also a reflection of the feelings of Momo and Okarun, and it became a song that can push forward those who are lost. It’s a song I truly love.”

Also, a talk event titled “TV Anime Dandadan Babaa and Gyaru are Coming to Chayamachi!!” has been decided to be held in Osaka in June at “Chayamachi Oshi Festival 2025.”

The event will feature four cast members: Wakayama Shion (as Momo), Tanaka Mayumi (as Turbo Babaa), Maeda Kaori (as Miiko), and Tomita Miyu (as Muuko). This will be Maeda-san and Tomita-san’s first event appearance for Dandadan, making it a special event where the babaa and gyaru gather in Chayamachi, Osaka-Umeda.
