On the official X (formerly Twitter) account for Kidou Senshi Gundam GQuuuuuuX (Jiikuakusu), mecha and characters that appeared in the TV anime’s 7th episode were introduced.
From Saiko Gandamu to Kikeroga! New Mobile Suits Appear One After Another
This series is the latest entry in the Gundam franchise, brought to you by the tag team of Studio Khara and Sunrise. It tells the story of protagonist Amate Yuzuriha getting caught up in the illegal mobile suit battling competition known as “Clan Battle”, set in a parallel world where the Principality of Zeon won the One Year War against the Earth Federation.
In the 7th episode, new mobile suits such as the Saiko Gandamu, Hanburabi, Eguzabe Senyou Gyan (Hakuji Soubi), and Kikeroga made their appearances. The Saiko Gandamu showed off a form where its armor deployed like reflector bits, exposing its internal frame. The Kikeroga also revealed its nature as a transformable Mobile Armor, with sections extending upwards, downwards, left, and right that can transform into a Mobile Suit form.
And the Gyan, which appeared with a flourish, is Eguzabe’s custom unit, featuring a distinctive white-based color scheme with gold lines. It’s also equipped with the large composite weapon “Hakuji”, which doubles as a thruster. In addition to these, the Principality of Zeon’s heavy space cruiser, the Chibe [Paapuru Widou], which Kishiria Zabi is aboard, also made its appearance.
On the character side, character design sheets for Kishiria Zabi, who swapped her usual military uniform for a suit suitable for negotiations, and her close aide Asaavu were revealed. New outfits for Machu and Nyaan, as well as pilot suit designs for Sharia Bull, Duu Murasame, and Geats Kapa were also introduced.
The TV series of Kidou Senshi Gundam GQuuuuuuX (Jiikuakusu) is scheduled to air every Tuesday at 24:29 (effectively Wednesday 0:29 JST) on 30 Nittere-affiliated networks. It is also available for streaming on Prime Video domestically starting from 25:00 (effectively Wednesday 1:00 JST) on the same day, being the fastest domestic distribution.
