Fans of the hit game NieR:Automata, get excited! 2B’s signature sword, “Shiro no Keiyaku” (which can be translated as “White Contract”), is being released as a 1/1 scale smart toy. Standing at an impressive length of approximately 139cm, this highly anticipated item was recently announced for release. Pre-orders are set to begin on the official EC site starting June 6th, 2025, at 15:00 JST.

For those unfamiliar, NieR:Automata is set in a distant future where humanity has been driven to the moon by the overwhelming forces of “machine lifeforms” unleashed by aliens. The story follows 2B and other members of the newly organized android unit, “YoRHa,” as they engage in intense battles to reclaim Earth.

Authentic Details and Realism

This impressive replica is being produced under the full supervision of Square Enix, the original game’s developer. The “Shiro no Keiyaku” smart toy faithfully replicates the intricate details of the sword, enhanced with light and sound effects that react to movement, truly bringing the game’s world to life. To ensure an authentic feel, great care has been taken with the sculpting and coloring. Even the Habaki (blade collar) and Tsuka (handle) feature deliberate weathering and scratch marks, giving the sword a realistic, battle-hardened appearance as if it has seen action on the front lines.

The Tsukamaki (handle wrap) uses a braided cord similar to traditional Japanese swords, based on the design seen in the game. This provides a comfortable grip that fits well in the hand, along with the aesthetic beauty of the delicate braiding.

The Tsuba (guard) is made from metal, giving it a substantial, weighty feel. It has been manufactured using die-casting to precisely reproduce the complex design with a smooth finish. As a special touch, each unit will be engraved with a unique serial number, making it a one-of-a-kind collector’s item.

Interactive Features

Equipped with an acceleration sensor, the blade lights up in sync with the sword’s movement. Swinging the sword produces the satisfying slash sounds from the game, creating an immersive experience straight out of NieR:Automata.
