In recent years, female voice actors have been expanding their activities beyond anime dubbing and movie voice-overs into areas like idol work and acting. 2024 saw the release of many photobooks that captured their charm, and 2025 is off to a great start as well.

Here, we’ll introduce nine female voice actor photobooks released in the first half of 2025.

Uchida Maaya Visual Book: “Sakuranbo Bon.”

Uchida Maaya, known for voicing characters like Takanashi Rikka in Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!, Katarina Claes in Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shite shimatta…, Norman in Yakusoku no Neverland, and Miyake Shinobu in Urusei Yatsura, has released her first visual book, “Uchida Maaya Visual Book Sakuranbo Bon.”

This book is a compilation of the fan club magazine “Sakuranbo Dayori.” from her official fan club “LIFE IS LIKE A SUNNY DAY,” transformed into a visual book. It features approximately six years’ worth of exquisite gravure photos, all of which are previously unpublished cuts. It also includes new photo shoots in Okinawa and Fukushima.

In the interview section of the book, Uchida-san talks about her feelings towards the fans who have walked alongside her through 15 years as a voice actor and 10 years as an artist. There’s also a Q&A section where she answers questions from fan club members. The book is designed to be enjoyable for existing fan club members as well.

Uesaka Sumire Photobook: “Sumipe no Hokkori Hon”

This is the fifth photobook for Uesaka Sumire, known for her roles as Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou in Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Aalya-san, Ram in Urusei Yatsura, and Uni in Star☆Twinkle PreCure, among many others. The title is “Uesaka Sumire Photobook Sumipe no Hokkori Hon” (Sumipe’s Cozy Book).

This book compiles her serialization “Uesaka Sumire no Doushi Shokun ni Tsugu” (Addressing You, My Comrades) from the voice actor information magazine “Seiyuu Grand Prix”. The new photo shoot took place in Fukuoka and Kumamoto. It shows her relaxing at stalls in Nakasu, by the Muromigawa River, and at an onsen and in the castle town in Kumamoto, offering these cozy moments to her fans.

I’m surprised this is my fifth photobook, but the serialization in Seiyuu Grand Prix is like my own growth album, so I feel like I’ve created new memories and a record of my growth.
This was my first Seiyuu Grand Prix location shoot where I traveled so far!
I was able to achieve “Muromi! Koko da!” (Muromi! This is it!) at Muromigawa River, a place special to me, and I even got in a bath (heart mark)
It should contain everything about my luxurious solo trip.
It was a trip full of fun, delicious food, getting tipsy, laughter, discoveries, learning, and shochu for all three days and two nights.

Kubota Miyu: “Femme Fatale”

This is the 3rd photobook for Kubota Miyu, a member of the voice actor idol unit i☆Ris and known for roles such as Asaka Karin in Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Doukoukai. The title is “Femme Fatale”.

Kubota-san celebrated her 30th birthday on January 31, 2025. This book captures her appearance in her late twenties with the theme of “A Journey Towards Becoming a Mature Woman.” It includes photos of her innocent smile enjoying the trip, exotic shots in an Ao Dai, and also challenging revealing swimsuit and her first lingerie shots. It’s her most adult and daring book to date.

Nakajima Yuki: “blue Blue”

This is the latest photobook for Nakajima Yuki, a voice actor known for roles like Imai Lisa in BanG Dream! and Otokura Yuuki in The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, who is also active as an artist. The title is “blue Blue”.

Released after approximately four years, “blue Blue” was fittingly shot in Cairns, Australia, a place for animal lovers like her. Amidst the great outdoors, it features active outfits suitable for the peak of summer, as well as diverse styles including swimsuits, loungewear, and dresses. While incorporating more mature expressions than ever before, the book also gives a sense of closeness.

Suzuhara Nozomi: “Todoke”

This is the 1st photobook for Suzuhara Nozomi, a voice actor active as Sakurakoji Kinako in Love Live! Superstar!! and a member of the school idol group Liella! from the same work. The title is “Todoke” (Deliver).

Shot in Singapore, this much-anticipated book captures her cute appearance and life-sized expressions. Along with her life-sized charm, it includes mature expressions and looks not typically seen in her public image. The book has already gone into reprint, and starting May 26, 2025, a digital photobook composed entirely of previously unpublished shots began distribution.

Sasaki Kotoko: “Akegata no Yume”

This is the first photobook for Sasaki Kotoko, a voice actor active as Yuugiri Tsuzuri in Love Live! Hasu no Sora Jogakuin School Idol Club, titled “Sasaki Kotoko 1st Photobook Akegata no Yume” (Dream at Dawn).

With the concept of “The Current Me,” the book features a main shoot in Saga Prefecture, a place she currently wants to visit, and a homecoming shoot in her hometown, Honjo City, Saitama Prefecture, reflecting on “The Me Until Now.” Furthermore, it includes moments showing “The Current Life-Sized Me” alongside her beloved cat, Ash-kun.

Sagara Mayu: “He Me to Hi Mi Tsu”

This is the latest photobook for Sagara Mayu, a voice actor active as Nakasu Kasumi in Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Doukoukai, and it captures her at the end of her twenties. The title is “He Me to Hi Mi Tsu” (He Me and a Secret).

This photobook, her first in approximately three years, is set in Vietnam. With the theme of “A top-secret trip to a southern island resort with you and Mayuchi, where no one else is around,” she challenges herself with swimsuits, resort wear, and her first-ever nightwear shots. Sagara-san, usually known for her charming, innocent smile, shows off mature expressions just for this book. You’re sure to enjoy the scenarios, almost as if you’re peeking from a “boyfriend’s” perspective.

Liyuu: “Hitomi”

This is the 2nd photobook for Liyuu, who hails from Shanghai, China, and plays the role of Tang Keke in Love Live! Superstar!! and is active as a member of Liella!. The title is “Hitomi” (Pupil).

Her eagerly awaited 2nd photobook, approximately three years after her first, is set in Bangkok and Pattaya, Thailand, and is an emotional work that fully expresses her unique self. It also includes her first swimsuit shots. Natsuyoshi Yuuko: “Yuuyuu Kishijitsu”

This is the first photobook for Natsuyoshi Yuuko, a voice actor who has played roles like Cheval Grand in Uma Musume Pretty Derby and Aoyama Kazusa in Blue Archive. The title is “Yuuyuu Kishijitsu” (Leisurely Auspicious Day).

Natsuyoshi-san herself developed the image during the planning stage and proposed various shooting plans to the production staff. The themes settled upon were “Everyday” and “Non-Everyday.” For the “Everyday” shots, taken in a studio house in Tokyo, she shows her natural self reminiscent of her private life and freely playing her hobby, the guitar. For the “Non-Everyday” shoot, she ventured outside Tokyo to an onsen ryokan with snowy scenery, capturing her defenseless gestures, playing in the snow, and riding a horse galloping through the snowy fields. This photobook actualizes Natsuyoshi-san’s “things I want to do” one after another.
