Kidou Senshi Gundam GQuuuuuuX Concludes, Anno Hideaki Offers Words of Appreciation to Director Tsurumaki Kazuya: “A 12-Episode Series Embodying Passion, Dedication, and Tenacity”
The spring anime Kidou Senshi Gundam GQuuuuuuX aired its final episode, episode 12, from 24:29 on June 25, 2025.
Kidou Senshi Gundam GQuuuuuuX is a co-production between Studio Khara and Sunrise, directed by Tsurumaki Kazuya-kantoku. When you talk about Khara, their president is Anno Hideaki-san, known for the Evangelion series and many other works. Anno-san was also involved in “Jiikusu” (as the series is also known) through design works and other roles. He even handled the script for episode 2, which led fans to praise him with comments like “Anno-san did it again!”
After the final episode aired, he posted a message expressing his gratitude towards Director Tsurumaki-kantoku via the X account of Studio Khara, where he serves as president.
Jiikusu was a 12-episode TV series that truly embodied and condensed Director Tsurumaki-kantoku’s passion, dedication, and tenacity. It was a fortunate task to be able to assist, even in a small capacity. While I’d like to tell Director Tsurumaki-kantoku to ‘rest now,’ I hear he’s traveling overseas for an event. Please be careful and enjoy your time. Once again, thank you for your truly hard work over a long period. And as a friend, a companion, and a president, I offer my sincere gratitude. Thank you very much. Comment by Anno Hideaki.
