ONE PIECE x Spalding Collaboration Items Unleashed! Devil Fruit Basketballs and More Apparel & Accessories Appear

Special collaboration items between the TV anime 『ONE PIECE』 and the sports brand Spalding Japan are set to go on sale starting July 4, 2025. The lineup includes a “Basketball” designed after the Devil Fruit “Gomu Gomu no Mi,” among other exciting goods.

『ONE PIECE』 is a globally popular manga series representing Japan, created by Oda Eiichiro and serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” since 1997. It boasts over 500 million copies in circulation worldwide. The story follows the grand adventure of the Straw Hat Pirates, led by the protagonist Monkey D. Luffy, as they journey in search of the legendary “Great Treasure” (ONE PIECE) left behind by the “Pirate King,” Gol D. Roger.

The TV anime adaptation began airing in 1999, marking its 25th anniversary in October 2024. The Egghead arc, which had been on hiatus, resumed with a special compilation episode and the first new episode, Episode 1123 titled “World Shaking! The Straw Hat Pirates Barricade Incident,” airing on April 5, 2025. Furthermore, a sequel has been decided for the live-action drama series 『ONE PIECE』, which was exclusively distributed worldwide on Netflix in 2023.

Basketballs Available in 5 Types

The lineup of basketballs includes the “Gomu Gomu no Mi” design, featuring Luffy on the front and the series logo on the back. There’s also the “Mera Mera no Mi” design with Ace depicted on the front, and Chopper’s “Hito Hito no Mi” design. These are all size 7 balls made of synthetic leather.

The Straw Hat Pirates’ symbol, the “Kaizoku Hata,” is available in two variations: size 7 and size 5, both made of rubber. Finally, the “Luffy & Shanks” design, depicting the famous scene where Luffy inherits the straw hat from Shanks, is available as a size 7 rubber ball.

Apparel and Bags

Designed as sports performance wear, the apparel items, including “T-shirts” and “Jersey Shorts,” are equipped with features like UV cut (UPF50+), moisture absorption and quick-drying properties, and are made with sustainable materials (using 40% eco-material). A wide variety of colors are available, which is great!

The “Cager” bag, with a 32L capacity, comes in three colors based on the Gomu Gomu no Mi, Mera Mera no Mi, and Hito Hito no Mi. Their distinctive color schemes are quite eye-catching. The “Packable Tote Bag” is a perfect item for everyday use.

Accessories

Accessories include a “Keychain” with a diameter of 3.8cm and a “Micro Mini” designed like a basketball hoop. The Micro Mini has a ring diameter of 16cm.
