Summer Anime “Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun 2” Later Arc Starts♪ Final Exams Looming! Nene is Barely Passing…? Episode 13 Advance Cuts

The summer anime Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun 2 Later Arc has released the synopsis and advance scene cuts for Episode 13 (The Thirteenth Mystery), titled “KImatsu Shiken to Shukuhaku Gakushuu” (Final Exams and Training Camp), scheduled to air on Sunday, July 6, 2025.

Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun is based on the manga by Aida Iro, serialized in Monthly “G Fantasy” (published by Square Enix), with over 10 million copies in print. It’s a “School Seven Mysteries supernatural tale” that follows “Hanako-kun,” the seventh of the Seven Mysteries (the “Hanako-san of the Toilet”), the girl who formed a bond with him, Yashiro Nene, and the exorcist boy, Minamoto Kou, as they run around trying to revert the rumors about the altered Seven Mysteries and other apparitions back to their original state.

The TV anime’s first season aired from January to March 2020. Later, in winter 2022, an anime restart project was announced. As the first phase of this project, the short anime Houkago Shounen Hanako-kun Episodes 1-4 were broadcast in October of the same year. The second phase, a sequel consisting of 4 episodes, was broadcast on television and streamed globally over four weeks in October 2024. This work is the continuation of the third phase, the first arc of the TV anime Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun 2, which aired from January to March 2025.

Episode 13 (The Thirteenth Mystery): “Final Exams and Training Camp” Synopsis

Having learned that she has only one year left to live, Yashiro Nene has still chosen to live in the real world.

What is currently pressing for Nene are the final exams. Along with Minamoto Kou, who is also barely passing, Nene studies diligently for the tests. Meanwhile, Minamoto Teru proposes a competition regarding the exams to Aoi Akane.
