(also known as A Wild Last Boss Appeared!), announced a second season this past Saturday. A Bit About the Series’ Roots
Firehead first started writing this action fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website back in October 2015. It was later picked up by Earth Star Entertainment and published under their Earth Star Novel imprint with illustrations by YahaKo. The light novel series wrapped up with nine volumes, the last one released in April 2019.
If you’re more into manga, there’s an adaptation drawn by Hazuki Tsubasa that began serialization in Comic Earth☆Star in June 2017. The manga is still ongoing, with the 11th volume shipped recently in November.
For international fans, J-Novel Club has licensed both the light novel and manga for English digital release. The light novel is complete, and the manga continues to be published, making it a great time to catch up!
