Mizu Zokusei no Mahoutsukai – Episode 2 Preview Images Released! Aberu (CV Ura Kazuki) Surprised by Ryou’s (CV Murase Ayumu) Magic Skills!?
Ahead of the broadcast on Thursday, July 10, 2025, preview cuts for the second episode of the TV anime Mizu Zokusei no Mahoutsukai have been released.
Mizu Zokusei no Mahoutsukai is a fantasy adventure series based on the light novels by Kubou Tadashi, published by TO Books, which also has a manga adaptation. It depicts the carefree adventure story of the strongest water mage who lives life at his own pace. The story opens with Ryou, a young man reincarnated into another world, beginning a slow life that starts with a single cup of water — a daily routine constantly adjacent to death and combat.
He is the only human on the isolated Rondo subcontinent. Although his life is left to chance and not inconvenient, it is busy with sword fights against headless knights, attacks by assassin hawks, and encounters with dragons. Perhaps due to his inherent carefree nature, or his hidden skill “Immortality.” Before he knew it, twenty years had passed, and Ryou had somehow reached the pinnacle of human magic. Eventually, an encounter with the genius swordsman Aberu will draw Ryou onto the historical stage.
Episode 2 “The Drifter Aberu” Synopsis
Ryou rescues a man washed ashore on the beach. The man introduces himself as Aberu and asks Ryou to guide him to the town of Run. Ryou agrees and leaves the Rondo Forest. Along the way, Aberu repels attacking monsters with his splendid fighting techniques.
However, the magic Ryou has acquired through his training is at a level that astonishes even Aberu…
The second episode of the TV anime Mizu Zokusei no Mahoutsukai, titled “The Drifter Aberu”, will air on TBS starting July 10th (Thursday) at 1:28 AM JST.
