Honoo no Toukyuujo: Dodge Danko TV Anime Adaptation Announced for 2026!

An official website has just been launched, revealing that Tetsuhiro Koshita’s exciting manga series, Honoo no Toukyuujo: Dodge Danko, is getting a TV anime adaptation. Production company Avex Pictures is behind this upcoming series, which is set to premiere sometime in 2026. Along with this exciting news, a new visual for the anime has been released, giving fans a first look at the animated world of Danko Ichigeki.
About the Manga Series
Honoo no Toukyuujo: Dodge Danko is a thrilling team sports manga that serves as a sequel to Koshita Tetsuhiro’s original hit, Honoo no Toukyuuji: Dodge Danpei. The sequel manga first began serialization in Weekly CoroCoro Comic back in November 2022. Shogakukan has been publishing the collected volumes, with the fifth volume released on January 28th and the sixth volume scheduled for August.

Fans of the original series will be happy to know that this new anime continues a legacy. The first Honoo no Toukyuuji: Dodge Danpei manga ran in Monthly CoroCoro Comic starting in 1989 and concluded in June 1995 with its 18th volume published by Shogakukan. That original manga also received a television anime adaptation produced by Animation 21. The anime aired for 47 episodes from the Fall season of 1991 through the Summer season of 1992.
