About “Little Sister’s Day”
September 6th marks a special day for all fans of cute little sisters: it’s “Imo no Hi,” or “Little Sister’s Day”! This heartwarming day was established to coincide with the middle of Virgo season (August 23rd to September 22nd), a zodiac sign often associated with grace and charm, symbolizing the inherent loveliness of younger sisters. Kunio Hatada, the advocate for this day, has also conceived numerous other sibling-related observances, such as “Otouto no Hi” (Younger Brother’s Day) on March 6th and “Ane no Hi” (Older Sister’s Day) on December 6th, celebrating the bonds of family throughout the year.
The world of anime would simply not be complete without the presence of memorable younger sisters. These beloved characters enrich stories with their diverse personalities and roles. Some shower their elder brothers or sisters with deep affection, while others might spark exciting drama by rebelling against them. And let’s not forget those seemingly younger sisters who are surprisingly reliable and mature! Their multifaceted portrayals truly add vibrant color to any anime narrative.
