About *Jigoku Sensei NuuBEE*
*Jigoku Sensei NuuBEE* is an exciting new anime adaptation based on an immensely popular occultic hero action manga. Originally serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from 1993 to 1999, the series, created by Makura Shou (story) and Okano Takeshi (art), boasts an impressive cumulative circulation of 29 million copies, making it a beloved classic.
With stories centered around chilling school ghost stories and urban legends, the series captivates readers, sending shivers down their spines. Yet, it’s the courageous figure of Nueno Meisuke, affectionately known as “NuuBEE“, a spiritual power-wielding teacher who fearlessly protects his students from the threats of yokai and evil spirits, that has garnered cross-generational appeal. The series was first adapted into a TV anime from 1996 to 1997, and also saw theatrical films and OVAs. More recently, in 2014, it was even adapted into a live-action TV drama starring Maruyama Ryuhei, further cementing its place in pop culture history.
Episode 11 Synopsis: “Oni no Te VS. Karinbi no Jutsu”
Tamamo makes another appearance in Doumori-chou. Facing NuuBEE, his former adversary, he declares a “temporary truce” with an air of composure, leaving NuuBEE intrigued. However, it soon becomes clear that a hidden agenda truly lurks beneath his words…
Meanwhile, disturbances in the town’s spiritual magnetic field lead to the emergence of a colossal spiritual beast, the Reimugyo (Spirit Fog Fish). NuuBEE and his companions find themselves utterly powerless against the Reimugyo, which regenerates no matter how many times it’s cut down, pushing them to their limits. How will our hero confront this seemingly unstoppable foe?

Episode 11, “Oni no Te VS. Karinbi no Jutsu“, of the Summer anime *Jigoku Sensei NuuBEE*, will be broadcast on Wednesday, September 10, at 23:45 JST on the TV Asahi network’s “IMAnimation W” block. Additionally, the latest episodes will be available for free broadcast every Wednesday at 25:00 JST on ABEMA. A one-week free streaming period for the latest episodes will also be available starting every Saturday at 24:15 JST, three days after the initial broadcast.
