We’re thrilled to hear Miyuri Shimabukuro lending her voice to the character of Shino Azuma, and Wataru Katou stepping into the role of Shuuji Taira. Their previous works suggest they’ll bring a fantastic energy to these roles!

The journey of *Seihantai na Kimi to Boku* began modestly as a one-shot drawn by Koucha Agasawa in January 2021 on the popular web magazine Shounen Jump+. Its charm quickly captivated readers, leading to its full serialization in May 2022. The romantic comedy enjoyed a successful run, concluding its over 3.5-year journey with 65 chapters in November 2024. Fans were able to get their hands on the eighth and final volume, published by Shueisha, on March 4.

For those who enjoy reading beyond the manga panels, a light novel adaptation was also released. Published by Shueisha under its JUMP J BOOKS imprint, this version featured illustrations by Nishima Shunhito and debuted in November 2023.

Bringing the Story to International Readers

The popularity of Koucha Agasawa’s work isn’t confined to Japan! Shueisha’s Manga Plus platform recognized the series’ global appeal and began publishing its chapters in English starting in June 2022, making it accessible to a wide international audience.

Further expanding its reach, VIZ Media licensed the manga for English release in October 2023. They have been steadily publishing the physical volumes, with the sixth volume hitting shelves on August 5. The anticipation continues to build as the seventh volume is slated for release on November 4.
