About Mahou Kishi Rayearth
Mahou Kishi Rayearth is a captivating fantasy manga by CLAMP, serialized in “Nakayoshi” from November 1993 to April 1996. The enchanting story centers on three middle school girls, Shidou Hikaru, Ryuuzaki Umi, and Hououji Fuu. After an unexpected incident, they awaken as the legendary “Magic Knights” and are summoned to the alternate world of Cephiro. Their grand adventure begins as they journey to save Cephiro from imminent crisis.
Anime Adaptation and Recent Developments
The beloved manga was adapted into a TV anime in 1994, which quickly captured the hearts of fans. Shiina Hekiru lent her voice to the fiery Shidou Hikaru, Yoshida Konami brought life to the passionate Ryuuzaki Umi, and Kasahara Hiroko voiced the graceful Hououji Fuu. As the TV anime celebrates its momentous 30th broadcast anniversary, a new anime project also officially launched in 2024.
