Anime! Anime! is excited to announce a reader survey asking, “What comes to mind when you hear ‘Mystery’ anime?”. The deadline for submissions is October 3rd.
October 7th marks “Mystery Memorial Day,” a date commemorating the death anniversary of the esteemed American novelist Edgar Allan Poe. Poe is widely celebrated as the author of “The Murders in the Rue Morgue,” a groundbreaking work often credited as the world’s first mystery novel.
The Allure of Mystery Anime
The mystery genre holds an unshakeable and enduring popularity in the anime world. What makes it so captivating? It’s filled with thrilling elements that keep viewers on the edge of their seats: perplexing locked-room incidents, a cast of distinctively charismatic detectives, intricate plots that weave mystery upon mystery, and the sheer delight of an unexpected culprit. Over the years, countless diverse and engaging mystery anime have graced our screens, whether through TV broadcasts, films, streaming platforms, or OVAs.
Here at Anime!
