Service for “Hypnosis Mike -Dream Rap Battle-” (HypDori) Concludes, Fans Express Their Farewell
The game application, Hypnosis Mike -Dream Rap Battle- (HypDori), from the popular Hypnosis Mike franchise, officially ceased operations at noon on September 30, 2025. Fans who played the game have been flooding social media with messages expressing their sorrow and bidding a fond farewell to the beloved title.
HypDori was a rap battle RPG co-developed by Odd Number, Dazed, and King Record Co., Ltd. Launched on November 20, 2024, it quickly captivated fans with its fully voiced main story, original in-game narratives, and dynamic 3D character motions.
Just after celebrating its half-anniversary in May, and with its first anniversary seemingly just around the corner, the unexpected news of the service termination was announced in early August.
Fans Bid Farewell to HypDori on Social Media
As September 30 arrived, marking the final day of service, countless messages from fans regarding the termination flooded social media platforms, even trending at one point. Players shared heartfelt thanks for HypDori, reminisced about their favorite card illustrations and story moments, and enthusiastically saved screenshots and rap battle motions, sharing their cherished memories with fellow fans.
Voice Actor Iwasaki RyouTa Shares His Sentiments
Even Iwasaki RyouTa, the voice actor for Shirabushi Sasara of Doppo Dare Honpo, shared his feelings on the game’s conclusion. He posted a comment on his X account, saying, “I was so excited by the characters and stories that could only be seen here, and I truly enjoyed the recording sessions!! To all the staff members who worked so hard to create this game, and to all the users who enjoyed playing it!! Thank you all so very much!!”
It seems he also struggled with the gacha for his own character, Shirabushi Sasara, expressing his joy in a separate post, “I finally got Rock Sasara on the last day!!!”
Important Information: Refunds and Main Story Access
In conjunction with the service termination, refunds for the in-game currency “Paid Jewels” are available from September 30 to noon on December 31, 2025. Additionally, for those who haven’t yet seen it, the main story of HypDori remains available for viewing on the official website and YouTube channel, so be sure to check it out!
For fans of Hypnosis Mike, rest assured that the other game application, Hypnosis Mike -Alternative Rap Battle-, celebrated its five-and-a-half-year anniversary on September 26 and continues to provide ongoing service.
