First Look: Autumn Anime “Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai” Episode 1 “Hajimemashite” Synopsis & Preview Cuts Revealed!
The highly anticipated autumn anime series, Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai, has just unveiled the synopsis and a set of captivating preview cuts for its first episode, titled “Hajimemashite” (which can be translated as “Nice to Meet You”). This heartwarming — and perhaps a little chaotic — comedy is set to begin its broadcast on October 5th, 2025.

About the Series

Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai is based on the popular manga Shoujo-gata Heiki (Alma-chan) wa Kazoku ni Naritai by Nanateru, serialized in “Comic Newtype”. This unique series, described as a “new-style at-home comedy,” has captivated many, garnering over 300,000 likes on social media. Fans will be thrilled to know that a sequel, Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai Z, is currently ongoing.
The story centers around Alma, a perfect, learning-type autonomous combat robot. She boasts the adorable appearance of a young girl, a body equipped with formidable combat capabilities, and an AI possessing learning and judgment abilities far beyond human comprehension. She was created by two young, unlucky genius scientists, Kamisato Enji and Yobane Suzume. Their extraordinary talent should have been recognized by the world… or so they thought.
Things take an unexpected turn when Alma, upon activation, inexplicably begins to call Enji “Otou-san” (Father) and Suzume “Okaa-san” (Mother), sending the two scientists into utter disarray. Despite the initial confusion, they decide to raise Alma’s advanced AI and strive to make her the ultimate robot by living together as a family. For Alma, everything is a “first time,” making her incredibly curious about the world around her. With her exceptional learning functions and boundless energy, she keeps Enji and Suzume on their toes as she continuously expands her understanding of the world.
The TV anime adaptation is helmed by Director Minami Yasuhiro, with animation production by Studio Flad. The talented cast includes Tsukishiro Hika as Alma, Suzuki Ryohta as Kamisato Enji, and M・A・O as Yobane Suzume. Additionally, Nagae Rika will voice Makina, and Yano Hinaki will portray Neon.
