The anime is based on the romantic comedy manga by Igarashi Masakuni, who began serializing the series in **Weekly Shounen Magazine** in September 2023. This heartwarming story comes approximately three and a half years after the conclusion of his previous hit, **Senryuu Shoujo**. The manga has been well-received, with Kodansha having released its tenth volume on September 17, and the eleventh volume planned for sale on December 17.
For international fans, Kodansha USA acquired the English licensing rights for the manga in July 2024. They have already released the third volume on September 2, with the fourth volume anticipated for a November 4 release. Additionally, Kodansha USA is simulpublishing the manga, making it accessible to readers through its K Manga app and website.
