Yamamori Mika-sensei’s manga, Uruwashino Yoi no Tsuki, a clumsy love story between a “prince” girl and a “prince” boy, is set to be broadcast as a TV anime starting January 2026 across 28 TBS network stations nationwide. On this occasion, the first animated teaser PV has been released, and information regarding the theme songs has also been announced.

Uruwashino Yoi no Tsuki tells the love story between Takiguchi Yoi, a beautiful and graceful girl called “Ouji” (prince), and Ichimura Kohaku, a male senior one year her elder, who is also known as “Ouji.” It’s a romance unfolding between two individuals both nicknamed “prince.”
The teaser PV, which was just released, unveils the long-awaited first animated footage of the work. It depicts the encounter between Takiguchi Yoi, the girl known as “Ouji,” and Ichimura Kohaku, the other “Ouji.”
A comment has also arrived from Tabuchi Tomoya-san of UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, who is a fan of original author Yamamori Mika-sensei. He shared a behind-the-scenes story about the tie-up, stating, “I seriously pondered whether a rock band’s voice and sound would truly suit Yamamori-sensei’s incredibly beautiful world.”

UNISON SQUARE GARDEN Tabuchi Tomoya-san’s Comment
I first encountered Yamamori-sensei’s works through a friend, Tsuno Maisaki, and was so deeply moved by every single one that I secretly started writing songs on my own. It’s truly come full circle in an unexpected way.
I seriously pondered whether a rock band’s voice and sound would truly suit Yamamori-sensei’s incredibly beautiful world. When the offer came, I was quite troubled. However, through discussions with Yamamori-sensei, Director Maruyama, and the anime staff, what became clear was the “unmistakable edgy quality” that only a rock band possesses, combined with the “alluring charm” that vocalist Saitou Kousuke can bring, which truly has an affinity with this work.
Aiming for that, I carefully picked up the melodies and lyrics that emerged and completed the songs.
I hope that our music can cast a subtle light in a corner of the work and, at times, assist in enhancing the drama.
We are UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, and we are honored to be in charge of both the opening and ending theme songs.
Thank you for your support.
