What’s the Story About?

For those who haven’t dived into the source material yet, here’s the scoop. The series is based on the action-fantasy light novel originally penned by author Ezogingitsune on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website. The story captured readers’ imaginations from its start in June 2018 through to its conclusion in January 2021.

SB Creative picked it up for their GA Novel label, with the talented DeeCHA providing the illustrations. The light novel has been a success, with its seventh volume released back in 2022.

But that’s not all! The story also found a fantastic second life as a manga. Drawn by Abeno Chaco (of Escha & Logy no Atelier fame), the manga adaptation began serialization on the Manga UP! app and website in August 2019. It’s been going strong, with its 18th volume published by Square Enix just recently in October. For international fans, Square Enix has licensed the English version, making it available on platforms like Comikey and Manga UP!.
