“Tougen Anki” Anime Confirms Sequel with New Teaser!

The official website for the Tougen Anki TV anime dropped some exciting news on Friday: a sequel is officially in the works! The announcement came packed with a fresh teaser visual and a promotional video, confirming the adaptation will continue with the highly anticipated Nikko Kegon Falls arc.

Fans who followed the first season won’t have to wait for a brand-new production team to get up to speed. The sequel will continue under the care of Studio Hibari, the same studio that delivered the initial 24-episode run. That season aired from Summer 2025 to Fall 2025 and was simulcast globally by both Crunchyroll and Netflix with multiple subtitle languages.

The anime is based on the action-fantasy manga series created by Yura Urushibara. The story began its journey in Weekly Shounen Champion back in June 2020 and has been going strong ever since. Its popularity is no joke—the series has reached a major milestone with over 5 million copies of its compiled volumes in circulation! The latest tankoubon, Volume 27, hit shelves in Japan on December 8.
