About Date A Live
Date A Live is a boy-meets-girl story based on the light novel series written by Tachibana Koushi and published under Fantasia Bunko. It follows the protagonist, Itsuka Shidou, who faces a unique threat: girls known as Spirits, who appear from a neighboring world causing unprecedented disasters. Using his own special powers, his mission is to “date them and make them dere“—to save humanity and the Spirits themselves.
Since its first TV anime adaptation in 2013, the series has been a huge hit. The anime’s fifth season, Date A Live V, aired in April 2024. The voice cast features Shimazaki Nobunaga as Itsuka Shidou, Inoue Marina as the Spirit girl Yatogami Tooka, and Sanada Asami as the dangerous Spirit known as the “Worst Spirit,” Tokisaki Kurumi.
