TRIGUN STARGAZE Episode 1 Synopsis and Preview Images Revealed!
Great news for fans! The synopsis and a batch of preview screens for the first episode of TRIGUN STARGAZE—the grand finale of the TRIGUN STAMPEDE series—have just been released. Titled “Wandering Days”, this episode is set to premiere on Saturday, January 10, 2026, kicking off the final chapter of this epic saga.

A Legend Reborn: The TRIGUN Legacy
First, a bit of backstory for newcomers. TRIGUN is a classic gun-action manga created by Naitou Yasuhiro (also known as Yasuhiro Nightow), serialized from 1995 to 2007. It’s set on the harsh desert planet of No Man’s Land and follows the journey of Vash the Stampede, a gunslinger with a strict vow never to kill. His struggles against his own fate and the richly crafted world have made the series a beloved staple worldwide.
The Stunning Revival: TRIGUN STAMPEDE
In 2023, the series got a breathtaking reboot with TRIGUN STAMPEDE, produced by the renowned 3DCG studio Orange. By leveraging cutting-edge animation technology, it delivered visuals and action sequences with a scale and intensity that blew away both longtime followers and a whole new generation of anime fans. It was a true “new generation” take on the story.
The Final Showdown: What is TRIGUN STARGAZE?
Now, TRIGUN STARGAZE brings everything to a head. The story picks up two and a half years after the catastrophic <Lost July> incident, which wiped an entire city off the map. This final chapter will animate the long-awaited, ultimate battle between the pacifist hero Vash and his genocidal brother Millions Knives. It’s the confrontation everyone’s been waiting for.
Episode 1 “Wandering Days” – Story Synopsis
Here’s what goes down in the premiere episode:

The episode opens in the aftermath of <Lost July>, the disaster that turned the metropolis of July into a giant crater. Vash the Stampede, falsely accused as the mastermind, has a staggering 60 billion $$ bounty placed on his head and has vanished completely since the event.

The story then jumps forward 2.5 years. Meryl Stryfe has toughened up and is now working as a reporter. Teaming up with her junior colleague, Milly Thompson, she begins investigating two mysteries: Vash’s whereabouts, and a new wave of “continuous plant theft incidents” that started six months ago. She can’t shake the feeling that her brother Millions Knives is behind it all.

In the midst of this investigation, thrilling news breaks: a massive immigrant fleet from Earth is approaching the planet. The residents of No Man’s Land are swept up in a wave of excitement and hope.
