Illustrator Fuwari, who boasts over 400,000 followers on X (formerly Twitter), is releasing her first art collection, “Fuwari Art Collection”, on February 27th. To commemorate this, an illustration exhibition will be held at TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Shimokitazawa starting February 13th.
Fuwari is a versatile illustrator active in many fields. She oversees illustration courses for the online learning service “Fast campus,” creates goods for VTubers like those from hololive, and produces collaborative illustrations for games.
Her work is popular for how it uses refreshing colors and appealing compositions to bring out a character’s standout cuteness—a definite moe appeal. This has earned her a following of over 400,000 on X.
This first artbook, “Fuwari Art Collection,” will feature numerous original works from 2018 onwards, including newly drawn illustrations made specifically for this volume.
In addition to original pieces, the book will include licensed work for series like ‘hololive’ and ‘Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu’ (also known as Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-), as well as fan art for ‘Blue Archive’.
The back of the book features a special interview where Fuwari discusses the making of the cover illustration, her journey as an illustrator, and her personal creative obsessions, making this a must-have volume for fans.
Furthermore, to celebrate the release, the “Fuwari Art Collection” Commemorative Illustration Exhibition has been confirmed. It will run from February 13th to February 23rd at TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Shimokitazawa. This is a chance to see a number of her beautiful illustrations ahead of the book’s official release.
