Fresh Faces Join the “Yuusha no Kuzu” Anime Cast!
Exciting news for fans of the gritty fantasy series Yuusha no Kuzu (also known as Scum of the Brave)! The official website for the television anime has just announced a new pair of voice actors joining the ensemble. This adaptation has been turning heads since it premiered on January 11, airing on NTV and AT-X in the wee hours of the morning.

A Quick Dive into the Source Material
Yuusha no Kuzu has quite an interesting origin story. It all started as a web novel penned by Rocket Shoukai on the Kakuyomu platform back in early 2016. The story was popular enough to get a physical novel release by Kadokawa that same year, featuring illustrations by Kusaka Yuuya (of Majutsushi Orphen fame).
But the version most fans know is the manga adaptation. The artist Nakashima723 initially self-published the manga online in 2018 and even put out the first volume digitally. The series found a more permanent home when Comic Border picked it up for serialization in 2022. The physical volumes are going strong, with the seventh one released recently and an eighth slated for December.
International Reach
For English-speaking fans, the manga has been accessible for a while. The first volume was translated and released by Mantra Comics back in 2020, and not long after, Manga Planet began publishing the chapters digitally.
