Get Ready for Cuteness Overload: Haikyuu!! Characters Join the “mochocho” Series!
The beloved characters from the anime Haikyuu!! are getting the adorable mini-chibi treatment with a new line of goods from the popular “mochocho series.” Pre-orders for these cute items are now open as of Friday, February 13, 2026, at 12:00 PM.
About Haikyuu!!
Haikyuu!! is a manga by Furudate Haruichi that was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump. It follows a group of high school boys pouring their hearts and souls into volleyball.
The TV anime adaptation began airing in 2014. The story reached new heights with the film Gekijouban Haikyuu!! Gomisuteba no Kessen (which can be translated as Haikyuu!! The Movie: The Battle at the Garbage Dump), released on February 16, 2024, which smashed box office records globally, earning over 20 billion yen. The excitement continues with more on the horizon: Gekijouban Haikyuu!! VS Chiisana Kyojin (featuring the clash between Karasuno High and Oodai High) is set for release in 2027, alongside a special anime titled Haikyuu!! Bakemono-tachi no Yukutokoro, which will depict the battle between Fukuroudani Academy and Nekoma High.
Meet the Mochocho Karasuno Team!
Now, Haikyuu!! is joining the fray with the hugely popular “mochocho series” of mini characters. This lineup features players from Karasuno High School, all rendered in cute, deformed illustrations.
Familiar faces like Hinata Shouyou, Kageyama Tobio, Tsukishima Kei, Yamaguchi Tadashi, Nishinoya Yuu, Tanaka Ryuunosuke, Sawamura Daichi, Sugawara Koushi, and Azumane Asahi are drawn with the signature “mochi-mochi” (soft and squishy) form of the mochocho series, creating visuals that are sure to tug at fans’ hearts.
