
New Details Unveiled for Historical Anime Adaptation
The official website for the television anime adaptation of Mihara Kazuto’s manga Sekai wa Odoru (also known as World Is Dancing) has dropped a bundle of fresh information, including additional cast members, a brand-new key visual, the opening theme, and the first promotional video. The series is set to light up screens starting July 2, airing at 10:00 p.m. on Tokyo MX and KBS Kyoto, followed by BS Asahi, Sun TV, and other stations. Get ready for a dance through history!

Behind the scenes, the anime is directed by Kuroyanagi Toshimasa (known for Fune wo Amu) at CygamesPictures. The series composition and scripts are handled by Kawamitsu Sawako, while Sasaki Keigo (Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray) takes charge of character designs. The music is composed by Shinoda Daisuke (Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online II).
Opening Theme
The opening theme song, titled “Shuushou”, will be performed by rock band Macaroni Empitsu (who also worked on Boukyaku Battery). A snippet of the track is already available in the newly released promotional video — and it’s shaping up to be a real earworm!
About the Manga
Mihara Kazuto began serializing this historical manga in Morning magazine back in March 2021. The story danced its way through six volumes, with the final volume hitting shelves in November 2022. For English-speaking fans, Kodansha USA licensed the series and published all six volumes digitally from August 2023 to August 2024.
