The movie for the TV anime Kimi to IDOL Precure♪ has been announced with the title Eiga Kimi to IDOL Precure♪ Omataase! Kimi ni Todokeru Kirakki LIVE! (translates to: “Kimi to IDOL Precure♪ The Movie: Sorry to Keep You Waiting! A Sparkling Live Brought to You!”). It’s set to open nationwide in Japan on September 12, 2025. Along with this exciting news, the main visual has been unveiled, featuring characters from Wandaful Precure! and Hirogaru Sky! Precure alongside the main cast. Details about special pre-sale tickets (Mubichike cards) with presents and exclusive attendance gifts have also been revealed.
About the Precure Series and Kimi to IDOL Precure♪
The Precure series is a long-beloved anime franchise that began airing with Futari wa Precure on February 1, 2004. It has captured the hearts of children, showcasing aspirational figures. The latest installment, Kimi to IDOL Precure♪, which centers around the theme of “Idol,” currently airs every Sunday at 8:30 AM JST on ABC TV and TV Asahi networks.
The central theme of this series is “You are why I can shine, why I can become strong!” The story follows Sakura Uta, a girl who loves to sing. She encounters Prilun, a fairy who has come seeking the legendary saviors, the “IDOL Precure,” to rescue Kirakiland, a world shrouded in darkness by the boss of the Chokkiri Dan, Dark Eine. Uta transforms into an “IDOL Precure,” battling while singing, dancing, and giving fan service. She is joined by her dependable comrades, Cure Wink (Sazekaze Nana) and Cure Kyunkyun (Shigure Kokoro). Just recently, two new warriors, Cure Zkyuun (Prilun) and Cure Kiss (Merorun), joined the team, adding to the weekly excitement.
The official title for the movie has now been announced, and a dazzling main visual has been released that makes it seem like the Precure are about to leap right out! The backdrop depicts Ai Ai Island, the stage for the “Universe’s Number One” idol festival, which is the setting for this film. The scene is filled with a tropical mood featuring stage sets designed after seashells and coral, where spotlights mingle with the sparkle of the sea.
At the center of the visual are the five Precure: Cure IDOL, Cure Wink, Cure Kyunkyun, and the recently revealed Cure Zkyuun and Cure Kiss, whose transformation in the TV series generated such surprise and joy among fans. They are shown hyping up the “Universe’s Number One” idol festival.
Furthermore, the visual confirms the presence of Precure from beyond the current series, including characters from Hirogaru Sky! Precure and Wandaful Precure!. Anticipation is high for what kind of scenes they will appear in and what roles they will play.
Behind them, a mysterious red-haired girl is visible, holding her hands together as if in prayer, along with statues of goddesses with matching expressions seen back-to-back. How these girls will intertwine with the story and what their fate holds is also intriguing. Fans are eagerly awaiting future updates.
The main poster and flyers featuring this key visual will begin appearing sequentially at theaters nationwide starting June 27. On the same day, the “Kimipuri♪ Coloring Contest” is also set to begin. Ticket and Gift Information
Starting June 27, pre-sale Mubichike cards with special presents will also go on sale at theater box offices nationwide (excluding some theaters). The special present is a “Kirakki Ranran♪ Ribbon Clip.”
There are two versions available: the “IDOL & Prilun & Merorun ver.” and the “Kyunkyun & Wink ver.”. You can choose your preferred version. These are limited to 50,000 pieces each nationwide, totaling 100,000. Fans should get them early! Character-specific Mubichike cards will also be available via mail order, at event venues, and at the Precure Pretty Stores in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya.
Furthermore, a special attendance gift limited to children has been decided: the “Miracle Ai Ai Bracelet.” Two types, Prilun and Merorun, will be distributed randomly. These bracelets, which play a significant role in the film, are limited to 250,000 of each type, totaling 500,000 gifts. Be sure to head to the theater early to get yours!
