The original manga series ‘Inaho-kun wa Nise Kanojo no Hazu na no ni’ serialized in the web comic magazine Comic Earth Star is releasing its 4th volume on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. To commemorate this, a new promotional video has been released.
The protagonist of this work is Mori Shintaro, a high school boy who wants to have a girlfriend and experience a movie-like romance. When he happens to come to the aid of his cool and unapproachable classmate Sawada Inaho, who is being harassed by a man on the street, a rumor spreads at school that the two are dating.
Then Inaho suggests, ‘Want to pretend we’re actually dating?’ Shintaro thinks his dream has come true, but in the next moment, Inaho reveals, ‘I’m a guy, dummy.’ Inaho is actually a boy who crossdresses for certain reasons. After a bit of a commotion, the two end up becoming a fake couple…

Following the voice comic and previous PVs, Gakuto Kajiwara voices Mori Shintaro, a high school boy longing for romance, and Yuki Sakakihara voices Sawada Inaho, the school’s most beautiful girl (who is actually a boy so cute he’s mistaken for one).
The volume 4 commemorative PV begins with Inaho, who for some reason is dressed as a cat-eared maid, asking, ‘Is this really okay…?’ and Shintaro’s scream as he takes fatal damage from the deadly cuteness.
Looking back at Inaho in his natural state declaring, ‘From today, we’re a fake couple,’ and his ‘fake girlfriend mode’ where he acts cute and clings to Shintaro in public, Shintaro explains, ‘That’s how our story as a fake couple began, and now we’ve finally reached volume 4!?’ Meanwhile, Inaho shyly raises his hand in front of his face saying, ‘D-don’t look…’
