Ryohei Kimura and Ryota Suzuki will appear in the TV anime “Kimi o Ai Suru Ki wa Nai to Itta Jiki Koushaku-sama ga Naze ka Dekiai Shitekimasu” (abbreviated as “Kimi Ai”), which begins airing in July on TV Asahi and BS Asahi.
The series is based on the hugely popular manga of the same name, which topped the annual rankings on the e-book store BookLive for two consecutive years and is a constant number one in the general/shojo manga rankings. The manga (print and digital) has sold over 2.4 million copies across five volumes.
It is a heartwarming romantic comedy that begins when Elsa, a poor but positive-thinking fallen noble lady, and Julius, an elite but awkward and complicated next-generation duke, enter into a “contract marriage” on the day they meet due to a conflict of interest.
Now, character visuals have been released for Alexis Josef Lalto, the crown prince of the Lalt kingdom who ordered Julius to marry Elsa, and Yere Ekurūsu, a close aide to Crown Prince Alexis, same as Julius.
Alexis Josef Lalto is voiced by Ryohei Kimura, known for roles such as Ryota Kise in “Kuroko’s Basketball” and Kotaro Bokuto in “Haikyu!!”.
Yere Ekurūsu is voiced by Ryota Suzuki, known for roles such as Niro Agatsuma in “BLACK TORCH” and Ryusui Nanami in the “Dr.STONE” series.
Alexis Josef Lalto is the crown prince of the Lalt kingdom and Julius’s lord. He ordered Julius, his close aide, to marry Elsa in order to win over the Yukarainen ducal family before they are used by domestic rebels. While bearing the responsibilities of a crown prince, he has a laid-back personality and is a devoted husband, making him a charming character.
Yere Ekurūsu, like Julius, is a close aide to Crown Prince Alexis. He is the eldest son of the Marquess Ekurūsu family, and his father is an elite general. He is somewhat fastidious and not suited for political schemes.
The story deepens as it explores how the crown prince and Julius, who hold the fate of Julius and Elsa in their hands, and the relationship between Yere and Julius intertwine. Look forward to the broadcast.
