“Kimetsu no Yaiba” is a manga by Gotouge Koyoharu, with all 23 volumes published by Shueisha’s Jump Comics, surpassing a cumulative circulation of 220 million copies. The story follows Kamado Tanjirou, a boy whose family is killed by demons, as he joins the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his demonized sister Nezuko back into a human. The tale combines poignant human-demon drama with intense sword fights, charming characters, and occasional comedic scenes, garnering widespread popularity.
TV anime “Kimetsu no Yaiba: Tanjirou Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc” began airing in April 2019. The theatrical film trilogy “Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinity Castle” set in the demons’ stronghold “Infinity Castle” was announced. The first chapter, “Akaza’s Return”, was released on July 18, 2025. The first chapter concluded on April 9 after 266 days in theaters, recording 27,455,968 viewers and a box office of 40.2 billion yen, ranking second in domestic all-time box office following the previous film.
