The official website for the television anime adaptation of Misawa Kei and Mizuno Natsu’s “Kimi wo Aisuru Ki wa Nai” to Itta Jiki Koushaku-sama ga Nazeka Dekiai shitekimasu (titled The Duke’s Son Claims He Won’t Love Me yet Showers Me with Adoration) announced two new cast members on Wednesday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on TV Asahi and BS Asahi in July 2026.

Voice actors Namikawa Daisuke (known for Kimi ni Todoke) and Kouda Mariko (Kore wa Zombie desu ka? of the Dead) are joining the cast as Lucas Eukrainen and Sophia Eukrainen, respectively.
Matsui Hitoyuki (Karakuri Zoushi Ayatsuri Sakon) is directing the anime at Zero-G and Grass. Konparu Tomoko (Kimi ni Todoke) is handling series composition, Yahiro Yuuko (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen) is designing the characters, and Michiru (Given) is composing the music.
Misawa and Mizuno began serializing the fantasy romance manga on BookLive in February 2021. Flex Comix published the fifth volume on March 13. The manga is also available in English on MangaPlaza. A novel adaptation launched on BookLive in October 2021.
